  • Publication number: 20240158183
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed to use a robotic arm to palletize or depalletize diverse items. In various embodiments, data associated with a plurality of items to be stacked on or in a destination location is received. A plan to stack the items on or in the destination location is generated based at least in part on the received data. The plan is implemented at least in part by controlling a robotic arm of the robot to pick up the items and stack them on or in the receptacle according to the plan, including by for each item: using one or more first order sensors to move the item to a first approximation of a destination position for that item at the destination location; and using one or more second order sensors to snug the item into a final position.

  • Patent number: 11948300
Abstract: Machine learning systems and methods are disclosed for prediction of wound healing, such as for diabetic foot ulcers or other wounds, and for assessment implementations such as segmentation of images into wound regions and non-wound regions. Systems for assessing or predicting wound healing can include a light detection element configured to collect light of at least a first wavelength reflected from a tissue region including a wound, and one or more processors configured to generate an image based on a signal from the light detection element having pixels depicting the tissue region, determine reflectance intensity values for at least a subset of the pixels, determine one or more quantitative features of the subset of the plurality of pixels based on the reflectance intensity values, and generate a predicted or assessed healing parameter associated with the wound over a predetermined time interval.

  • Publication number: 20240103640
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to a low profile key for a keyboard having an overmolded support structure. In one aspect, an embodiment includes a key cap having an illuminable symbol. A support structure having a pair of overmolded wings may pivotally couple to the key cap. A switch housing may surround the support structure and connect each of the first and second wings. A tactile dome may be at least partially positioned within the switch housing and configured to bias the key cap upward. A sensing membrane may be positioned along an underside surface of the tactile dome and configured to trigger a switch event in response to a collapsing of the tactile dome caused by a depression of the key cap. A feature plate may be positioned below the sensing membrane. A light guide panel may define at least one light extraction feature that may be configured to propagate light toward the key cap and cause illumination of the illuminable symbol.

  • Publication number: 20240070583
Abstract: The online concierge system generates task units based on orders and assigns batches of task units to pickers. The online concierge system generates task units based on received orders. The online concierge system generates permutations of these task units to generate candidate sets of task batches. The online concierge system scores each of these candidate sets, and selects a set of task batches to assign to pickers based on the scores. Additionally, to determine which task UI to display to the picker, the picker client device uses a UI state machine. The UI state machine is a state machine where each state corresponds to a task UI to display on the picker client device. The state transitions between the UI states of the UI state machine indicate which UI state to transition to from a current UI state based on the next task unit in the received task batch.

  • Patent number: 10341570
Abstract: An assembly for a rotatable surveillance camera is disclosed. The assembly can include a gimbal ring, a base securable to the gimbal ring and a flexible hook member securable to the base. The gimbal ring can have a slotted channel recessed into an interior surface. The slotted channel can have a spiral configuration with opposing ends and can extend around the interior of the gimbal ring at least one full revolution. The base can have a side wall with a slot provided through at least a portion thereof. The hook member can have a proximal end within the interior of the base and can extend outside the base through the slot to an opposing end having a tab. The slotted channel can receive the tab and be slidably rotated around said tab between the opposing ends during rotation of the gimbal ring relative the base.

  • Patent number: 9483473
Abstract: Embodiments in the present disclosure include systems and methods related to a high-availability architecture for a cloud-based concurrent-access collaboration platform. The disclosed technology relates to an active data center which includes multiple document server instances that handle user requests for concurrently accessing documents. Multiple document server instances are implemented on a single physical server. This architecture uses an instance assignment manager to assign documents to the document server instances, a primary repository to store backup snapshots of the documents, and a datastore to store all changes made to the documents. The disclosed technology also involves a backup data center that can be swapped with the active data center automatically.

  • Patent number: 6325123
Abstract: A central tire inflation system for a steering knuckle wheel end assembly providing a steering knuckle secured to the vehicle, and a wheel end hub rotatably mounted about the steering knuckle. A bearing assembly is disposed between the steering knuckle and wheel end hub to establish the rotatably connection. A drive shaft is rotatably disposed through the steering knuckle and is in driving connection with the wheel end hub. A pair of adjacent rotary seals are disposed between the wheel end hub and steering knuckle and defining a small chamber there between. An inlet passage is formed directly through the steering knuckle in communication with the sealed chamber. The inlet passage transmits pressurized air from a pressurized air source directly to the sealed chamber. An outlet passage is formed directly through the wheel end hub and is also in direct communication with the sealed chamber to establish communication between the wheel end hub and the steering knuckle.
