Patent number: 10952833Abstract: A spring mechanism for attaching to a power device drive unit includes a housing connectable to a portion of the power device and a shaft extending through the housing. One end of the shaft is coupled to a workpiece and a bottom member extends from the other end and is positioned adjacent the drive unit. The bottom member includes at least one of a ferromagnetic material and a permanent magnet. The bottom member, shaft and workpiece move upon actuation of the drive unit, and a spring extends laterally outwardly from the shaft between the shaft and the housing. The spring is affixed to one of the shaft and the housing, wherein the spring bends between a deformed position and a return position upon the movement of the bottom member.Type: GrantFiled: December 4, 2014Date of Patent: March 23, 2021Assignee: Ranir, LLCInventors: Scott P. Patent number: 9393357Abstract: An extracorporeal blood perfusion system includes a disposable assembly and a control unit having a control interface region. The interface region includes pump assemblies for selective pumping of venous blood, arterial blood, cardioplegia solution, suctioned blood and blood removed from the left ventricle. Valve assemblies control the flow of fluids through the assembly and to/from the patient and sensors monitor various fluid parameters including temperature and pressure within the various fluid circuits. The user interface is a functional screen interface for effecting the operation of the control unit and valve assemblies. The screen interface may be a touch screen having objects that corresponds to the component interface region. The display may be selectively controlled to provide graphic depictions of disposable assembly components with corresponding narrative instructions.Type: GrantFiled: December 13, 2013Date of Patent: July 19, 2016Assignee: Sorin Group USA, Inc.Inventors: Bruce S. Publication number: 20140326274Abstract: A dental flosser design utilizes the shape of the handle, the positioning of one or more floss strands and the shape and materials of the floss strands to increase the ease of use for the consumer. In one embodiment, the flosser combines the advantages of an F-shaped flosser for flossing the front teeth with the advantages of a Y-shaped flosser for flossing the rear teeth by providing a flosser with a handle having first and second longitudinal ends, with a first flosser head extending from the first longitudinal end and the second flosser head extending from the second longitudinal end. The first flosser head may form an F-shaped flosser at the first end of the handle, wherein the flosser head is generally aligned in the same plane as the gripping surfaces of the handle, the with the flosser arms extending at an angle to the longitudinal length of the handle.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 2, 2013Publication date: November 6, 2014Applicant: Ranir, LLCInventors: Kevin J. Kollar, Scott P. Crossman, Jonathan M. Stebila, Brett Huffman, James S. Peliotes

Publication number: 20140130824Abstract: A dental flosser including a plastic handle having proximal and distal ends, a flosser head at the distal end of the handle, and two spaced apart arms extending from the flosser head. First and second strands of dental floss extend transversely between the spaced apart arms. The first and second strands may different material characteristics from each other, such as different coefficients of friction. The first and second strands may be arranged on the arms to provide enhanced cleaning. For instance, a portion of one of the strands may be offset from the other strand along the width of the flosser arms.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 8, 2011Publication date: May 15, 2014Applicant: RANIR, LLCInventors: Jeffrey J. Patent number: 8522798Abstract: A dental flosser including a plastic handle having proximal and distal ends, a flosser head at the distal end of the handle, and two spaced apart arms extending from the flosser head. Two distal end portions extend from the arms and secure a strand of floss. The distal end portions may be wider than the respective arms to increase the force required to pull the floss through the distal end portions. The distal end portions may intersect and extend through an interior and exterior plane defined by the interior and exterior surfaces of the arms.Type: GrantFiled: May 4, 2011Date of Patent: September 3, 2013Assignee: Ranir, LLCInventor: Kevin J Kollar
