  • Patent number: 10730349
Abstract: The disclosure addresses a series of interactions between wheels and a number of different replaceable tire segments to cover the wheels. The disclosure teaches more than one way to engage the one or more tire segments to wheels and to form seams between ends of the one or more tire segments. The tire segments may be removed and replaced so that the wheels and wheel bearing may be used longer than the useful life of the tire segments.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 22, 2020
Date of Patent: August 4, 2020
    Assignee: gowheels, Inc.

Abstract: The disclosure addresses a series of interactions between wheel rims and a number of different replaceable tire segments to cover the wheel rims. The disclosure teaches more than one way to engage the one or more tire segments to wheel rims and to form seams between ends of the one or more tire segments. The tire segments may be removed and replaced so that the wheel rim and wheel bearing may be used longer than the useful life of the tire segments.

  • Patent number: 8523082
Abstract: A series of implementations of open access sleeves for holding one or more closed containers of sterile fluid for use in medical procedures are disclosed. The open access sleeves may be adapted to provide heat to maintain the containers of sterile fluid above the ambient air temperature of the room. The provision of heat may be controlled by a control system. The control system may use a temperature measurement device to obtain a temperature representative of the container of sterile fluid and of the sterile fluid in the container. The access sleeve may be included in a device for maintaining an open volume of sterile fluid within a range of a target temperature to maintain the closed containers of sterile fluid at a temperature near target temperature for open volume of sterile fluid.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 20, 2010
Date of Patent: September 3, 2013
    Assignee: C Change Surgical LLC
Inventors: Patrick Kammer, Kevin J. Rackers, Mark Martel, Todd Cassidy

  • Patent number: 8119363
Abstract: An apparatus and method for automatic thin-layer cell sample slide preparation without requiring human intervention are disclosed. According to one embodiment, a cell sample is measured to derive a cell sample measurement. An estimation of total cellularity of the cell sample is determined based upon the cell sample measurement. A differential volume of diluent is dispensed to the cell sample based upon the estimation of total cellularity of the cell sample to form a cell suspension. In one embodiment, a differential volume of the cell suspension and a differential volume of cell adherent may be combined based upon the estimation of total cellularity of the cell sample to form a cell mixture. A differential volume of the cell suspension or cell mixture (if an adherent is mixed with the cell suspension) is dispensed onto a surface of a sample slide.

  • Patent number: 6988518
Abstract: A robotic system and method that provides three axes of movement to couple a robotic arm with a desired target for movement of materials, including but not limited to fluids. The robotic arm moves in two axes of direction only, and the targets move in the third axis of direction to couple the robotic arm with the desired target. The targets are contained on trays that are controlled to move linearly to accomplish the third axis of movement. Multiple trays each containing targets are provided and are vertically stacked on top of each other to increase the target handling capacity of the robotic system without increasing the footprint size of the robotic system. Each axis of motion is accomplished by control of an actuator by a control system and associated motion controller.
