  • Patent number: 11071262
Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method which combines field mapping and control software to effectively manage sprinkler parameters to adjust for changes in weather conditions and positional/terrain changes. According to a first preferred embodiment, the present invention preferably provides a system which monitors a mapped set of boundaries and preferably receives data regarding a variety of weather factors including wind monitoring (speed, direction, averages, and gusts) and preferably makes adjustments to the system to adjust and modify the shape of a desired distribution area based on the weather factors.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 23, 2018
Date of Patent: July 27, 2021
    Assignee: Valmont Industries, Inc.
    Inventor: Kevin K. Fischman
  • Patent number: 10721881
Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method which combines field mapping and control software to effectively manage end gun parameters to adjust for changes in weather conditions and positional/terrain changes.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 19, 2018
Date of Patent: July 28, 2020
    Assignee: Valmont Industries, Inc.
    Inventor: Kevin K. Fischman
  • Patent number: 10467351
Abstract: The present invention provides an improved system and method for designing an irrigation system for a selected field. According to a preferred embodiment, the system and method of the present invention calculates a complete bill of materials, customer pricing, design requirements and dimensions for a field irrigation system for a given irrigated field.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 9, 2016
Date of Patent: November 5, 2019
    Assignee: VALMONT INDUSTRIES, INC.
Inventors: Dale A. Christensen, Bruce Kreikemeier, Kevin K. Fischman, Todd Zessin
  • Patent number: 10440905
Abstract: The present invention discloses a system and method for irrigation management using VRI ray casting algorithms within irrigation machine workflows. According to an exemplary preferred embodiment, the present invention may preferably include: a position sensor which determines a position of the irrigation system; a memory system storing a prescribed watering plan for a field; and a variable rate mapping program using VRI ray casting algorithms.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 2, 2018
Date of Patent: October 15, 2019
    Assignee: Valmont Industries, Inc.
