  • Publication number: 20080237403
Abstract: A method of producing an airfoil including the steps of providing a first preform having a metallic powder of a first alloy, the first preform defining an airfoil body having curved pressure and suction sides. A tip cap is disposed between the pressure and suction sides of the airfoil at a radially outer end of the airfoil body. A partial height squealer tip extends radially outwards from the tip cap to provide a second preform that is a metallic powder of a second alloy different from the first alloy. The tip cap is formed in the shape of an extension of the squealer tip. The first and second preforms are sintered to consolidate the metal powders. An airfoil according to the method is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20080076787
Abstract: Novel crystalline forms of (1R,2R)-7-chloro-3-[2-(2,4-difluorophenyl)-2-hydroxy-1-methyl-3-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)propyl]quinazolin-4(3H)-one, pharmaceutical compositions containing these crystalline forms, methods of using these crystalline forms for treating and/or preventing various microbial and/or fungal infections or disorders, and processes for obtaining these crystalline forms. In particular, the present subject matter relates to the specific crystalline Forms I, II, III, IV, V, and VI of (1R,2R)-7-chloro-3-[2-(2,4-difluorophenyl)-2-hydroxy-1-methyl-3-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)propyl]quinazolin-4(3H)-one.

  • Publication number: 20080049949
Abstract: A lightweight radio/CD player for vehicular application is virtually “fastenerless” and includes a case and frontal interface formed of polymer based material that is molded to provide details to accept audio devices such as playback mechanisms (if desired) and radio receivers, as well as the circuit boards required for electrical control and display. The case and frontal interface are of composite structure, including an insert molded electrically conductive wire mesh screen that has been pre-formed to contour with the molding operation. The wire mesh provides EMC, RFI, BCI and ESD shielding and grounding of the circuit boards via exposed wire mesh pads and adjacent ground clips. The PCB architecture is bifurcated into a first board carrying common circuit components in a surface mount configuration suitable for high volume production, and a second board carrying application specific circuit components in a wave soldered stick mount configuration.

  • Publication number: 20070137973
Abstract: A transmission for a work machine is disclosed. The transmission has a source of pressurized fluid, a low pressure reservoir, a plurality of hydraulically actuated clutches, a first plurality of valve mechanisms, and a second plurality of valve mechanisms. Each of the first plurality of valve mechanisms is associated with one of the plurality of hydraulically actuated clutches and configured to selectively fill and drain the associated one of the plurality of hydraulically actuated clutches. Each of the second plurality of valve mechanisms is associated with one of the plurality of hydraulically actuated clutches and configured to selectively fill and drain the associated one of the plurality of hydraulically actuated clutches. The transmission also includes a master latch mechanism in fluid communication with only the second plurality of valve mechanisms.

  • Publication number: 20060167713
Abstract: An automatic transmission adapted to receive a power take-off device at a rear portion thereof and kit for providing power take-off components. Due to size constraints around an automatic transmission, a rear mounted power take-off device avoids the difficulties common to side mounted power take-offs. The automatic transmission includes a transmission housing with a front and rear portion, an input member, at least one planetary gear set driven by the input member, at least one brake or clutch adapted to change a gear ratio output from the transmission. A driven gear on a second axis of rotation intermeshes an input gear on a first axis of rotation. A flange on the rear portion of the transmission is configured to receive the power take-off device.

  • Patent number: 6799030
Abstract: The present invention provides for a method and apparatus for extending battery life in a radio frequency (“RF”) wireless modem by automatically commanding the RF modem into a low power, auto-sleep-no-coverage mode when coverage is not available. The auto-sleep-no-coverage mode timing is configurable through software parameters in the operating system of the modem. The invention conforms to the Cellular Digital Packet Data (CDPD) Specification and increases the standby time of the device outside the coverage area to that similar to the standby time when the modem is within a coverage area. One embodiment of the present invention uses two software programmable timers and a preferred embodiment of the invention uses three software programmable timers and a counter.
