  • Publication number: 20060189896
Abstract: A medical device for guiding through anatomy, such as a catheter or guidewire, with a tubular body that has been slotted to enhance bending flexibility, and a polymer liner with an anti-collapsing structure, and a method of making a medical device with a kink-resistant corrugated tubular member and an anti-collapsing structure. Anti collapsing structures may be helical or annular, and may be wire, such as ribbon wire, grooves in the liner, corrugations, or a braid. Liners may be bonded to the anti-collapsing structure, or may have two layers, with the anti-collapsing structure between the layers. Corrugations may be formed between sections of the anti-collapsing ‘structure with heat, pressure, stretching, compression, a mold, or a combination thereof, and may extend inward or outward. Shape or wall thickness may vary along the length to provide a varying bending stiffness. Slots may be formed in groups of two, three, or more, and adjacent groups may be rotated about the axis forming a helical pattern.

  • Publication number: 20060075633
Abstract: A circuit board layer 2 in accordance with the present invention includes a conductive sheet 4 sandwiched between an insulating top layer 10 and an insulating bottom layer 14. The top and bottom layers 10 and 14 and the conductive sheet 4 define the circuit board layer 2 having an edge that includes an edge 20 of the conductive sheet 4. An insulating edge layer 18 covers substantially all of the edge 20 of the conductive sheet 4.

  • Publication number: 20050271973
Abstract: Novel compositions comprising photoactive urethane acrylate resins and an ethylenically unsaturated reactive diluent are disclosed. The urethane acrylate resin comprises the reaction product of a polyhydric acrylate monomer and an isocyanurate. The compositions find particular application in negative photoresist compositions and exhibit improved blocking resistance compared with other negative photoresist compositions. Methods for using the compositions are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20050124196
Abstract: A circuit board or each circuit board of a multi-layer circuit board includes an electrically conductive sheet coated with an insulating top layer covering one surface of the conductive sheet, an insulating bottom layer covering another surface of the conductive sheet and an insulating edge layer covering an edge of the conductive sheet. An insulating interlayer can be sandwiched between a pair of adjacent circuit boards of a multi-layer circuit board assembly. A landless through-hole or via can extend through one or more of the circuit boards for connecting electrical conductors on opposing surfaces thereof.

  • Publication number: 20040205993
Abstract: The present invention relates to corner pieces which are incorporated in a frame for securing and displaying a work of art. The corner piece is adapted to be disposed between adjacent frame members thereby allowing a frame builder to adjust the dimensional allowance of the frame opening once the frame members are cut. The corner piece includes a body member having an upper surface, a lower surface, a first end, a second end, and a lip portion. The upper surface of the corner piece substantially corresponds to the configuration of the adjacently disposed frame members. The lip portion of the corner piece is adapted to overlay a portion of the work of art disposed within the confines of the frame. The corner piece may be provided with one or more slots disposed in the lower surface of the body member adapted to receive a connector for stabilizing the corner piece between the adjacently disposed frame members of the frame.

  • Publication number: 20020040542
Abstract: A picture frame is comprised of joint pieces and elongated members. The joint pieces constitute the corners of a frame. The elongated members define the sides of a picture frame. Fastening hardware is employed to secure the entire apparatus. The joint pieces are cut or molded from a material similar to, or compatible with, the elongated members with which a rigid connection is made. Different angles of miter cuts may be made to vary the design of the picture frame. Similarly, different sizes and shapes of joint pieces may be made to additionally vary frame size and design. The joint pieces can be used to replace conventional frame corners which have been damaged, to change the size and appearance of used frames, or to provide additional dimension and design alternatives for new frames.
