  • Publication number: 20190318571
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention are directed to a method for creating an electronic log for documenting entries into electronic gaming machines on a network. The network is monitored by a network computing device. People who enter the machines carry mobile computing devices that communicate over a normally operating wireless network. Cooperating among the network computing device and the wireless network results in creating an entry that includes the identify of a person entering one of the gaming machines, the identity of the gaming machine entered, and the reason for entry. The entry is stored in an electronic log.

  • Publication number: 20190311314
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention are directed to a method for dispatching a person to a location in a casino to respond to a request for service at the location. A dispatched person may use his or her mobile computing device to indicate availability to assist with other calls and may create, join, or intercept a call while on one or more current calls. The dispatch system automatically assigns the same person to all calls generated at the same machine or at different machines that are each associated with the same identified player. The dispatched person may use his or her mobile computing device to selectively switch among the calls on which he or she is currently working.

  • Patent number: 10122472
Abstract: An optical receiver that recovers data is disclosed. The optical receiver includes a photodetector configured to convert an optical signal into a current signal, and a TIA (Transimpedance Amplifier) configured to operate according to a set of parameters to convert the current signal to a voltage signal. The optical receiver also includes an equalizer configured to process the voltage signal to produce a processed signal having recovered data from the optical signal, and to produce one or more equalization metrics. According to an embodiment of the disclosure, the optical receiver has a feedback processor configured to automatically tune operation of the TIA by adjusting at least one of the parameters of the TIA based on the one or more equalization metrics. This may effect a change in performance or power consumption of the optical receiver while receiving and recovering data. A corresponding method for recovering data is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20160250794
Abstract: A blown film extrusion system, comprising a circular die (10) for creating a tube of molten plastic which is blown into a bubble (30). A Cooling stack (1) is provided in the center of the circular die (10), within the bubble (30) in use, the Cooling stack (1) including an integrated IBC exhaust stack (24). Air from within the bubble (30) is drawn into an air inlet manifold (180) and spun to a high velocity into a substantially conical air distributor (150). This causes the air to be forced against the surfaces of the copper tubes (92) causing transfer of heat from the air to the tubes. The air is then expelled at the bottom of the Cooling stack (1) back into the bubble (30), where it rises back up to cool the inner surface of the bubble (30), before being drawn back into the air inlet manifold (180) for re-cooling.
