  • Publication number: 20070151942
Abstract: A device containing a printed wire board (PWB), wherein the PWB comprises a fluid channel, wherein the fluid channel is a closed channel having a noble metal-containing layer on a surface of the fluid channel is disclosed. A method of making a device containing providing a substrate of a PWB; and fabricating a fluid channel in the PWB, wherein the fluid channel is a closed channel having a noble meal-containing layer on a surface of the fluid channel is disclosed. Also, a method containing providing a printed wire board (PWB), wherein the PWB comprises a fluid channel, wherein the fluid channel is a closed channel having a noble metal-containing layer on a surface of the fluid channel, and flowing fluid the fluid channel is disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20070005237
Abstract: A method, device, and system are disclosed. In one embodiment, the method comprises acquiring vehicle fuel consumption information from a plurality of geographic locations, compiling the information to a map, and creating a low fuel consumption path between two locations on the map using the information.

  • Publication number: 20060227512
Abstract: A microchannel cooling system used to cool integrated circuits may include a number of microchannels which may be subject to bubble blockage. When bubble formation or nucleation occurs due to heating, the bubbles may become trapped within the microchannels. A valve within the microchannel may automatically operate, at least partially, to close off the microchannel, allowing the bubble to be freed and to be flushed from the channel in some embodiments.

  • Publication number: 20060227513
Abstract: A therapeutic agent may be dispensed into a biological fluid on an as needed basis. A microelectromechanical system valve may dispense the therapeutic agent as needed. The valve may sense the extent of the need for the therapeutic agent and may controllably open to provide that therapeutic agent in response thereto.

  • Patent number: 7043555
Abstract: Techniques are provided for content filtering. Logic expressions are evaluated to filter content in response to content ratings. The logic expressions include operators that are overloaded and associated with content operators for specific content providers or specific rating systems. By evaluating the logic expressions with the content operators, one or more actions can be automatically and dynamically performed.

  • Patent number: 5803015
Abstract: A simple, efficient, and rugged dairy parlor entry gate which is especially useful for identifying animals, minimizing the need for lead animals to back up as the gates swing open, and provides for indexing the animals into proper position. The entry gate preferably includes a pair of opposed stanchions defining therebetween a passageway, at least one and preferably a pair of gate members, and mounting structure for swingably carrying the gate members and mounting them in offset relationship. An antenna may be provided in each of the gate members so that the interrogation field generated thereby swings with the gate member. The gate also preferably includes a motive member for swinging the gate members between an open position allowing the passage of animals therebetween and a closed position which both inhibits the passage of animals into the parlor and indexes the last animal into a proper position.

  • Patent number: 5369977
Abstract: A gaseous detection system for detecting the existence of a certain gas and further detecting a certain level or percentage of that certain gas within a prescribed environment. An example is the use of the gas detection system in a motor vehicle or elsewhere to determine when the driver of the motor vehicle may be driving under the influence of alcohol, and alternatively, for providing signals that may be used for evidentiary purposes of the alcohol content in the breath of the driver. The system includes a sensor unit for sensing ethanol in the atmospheric contents of the test person's breath and utilizing fresh air and a reference gas to determine the amount, if any, of blood-alcohol content of a person for evidentiary or other purposes.
