Abstract: A coupling for interconnecting sections of pipe. The coupling includes a first pipe element having a first coupling member in the form of a female socket, and a second pipe element having a second coupling member in the form of a male plug. The socket of the first pipe element is dimensioned to receive therein the plug of the second pipe element. The coupling also includes a seal interface to prevent passage of air or fluids through an annular gap between the socket of the first coupling member and the plug of the second coupling member. The seal interface includes a sealing element and a sealing element retainer. The sealing element retainer is positioned internally of the coupling, within a cylindrical cavity of the socket.

Abstract: A method and system for bracing pipe, conduit and ductwork, which includes a mounting plate attachable to an underside of a structural flooring member, an elongated support member attachable to an underside of the mounting plate, and at least one elongated channel member. The at least one elongated channel member attaches to a side of the elongated support member, wherein the at least one elongated channel, member is adapted to receive a fastener for attaching at least one conduit member to the elongated channel member.

Abstract: An apparatus and method are provided for coupling strings to the body of a musical instrument and adjusting such strings. In one embodiment, a base is provided and one or more adjustment assemblies are disposed on a surface of the base including a first structure disposed on the surface of the base and a second structure which is slidably interlocked with the first structure. A first adjustment screw may be disposed between a portion of the base and the first structure such that rotation thereof effects displacement of the first structure and the second structure along a first axis relative to the base. A second adjustment screw may be disposed between the first and second structures such that rotation thereof effects displacement of the second structure along a second axis relative to the first structure. A clamping mechanism is provided to affirmatively lock the one or more adjustment assemblies relative to the base.

Abstract: A spill-resistant carrying apparatus includes a platform having a top surface and a bottom surface supported on legs. The platform includes one or more cavities which each have a set of female threads disposed into the bottom surface, and a set of male threads disposed into and extending from the top surface. In one embodiment, the male threads are oriented substantially adjacent to the female threads. The platform may further be configured with a lip disposed along a periphery of the platform and extending to a height greater than a height of the top surface.
