  • Patent number: 11978046
Abstract: Users of a communication system can initiate electronic payments during a communication session hosted by the communication system or via a social network identity page hosted by the communication system. The communication system detects a payment signal from a user of the communication system and the collects payment information details either by displaying a payment object interface in a communication application of the user or receiving payment information input directly from the user's communication device. The payment information includes sender and recipient payment account identifiers that are communicated to a payment processing system for processing and delivery of the designated payment amount to the recipient.

  • Patent number: 11922004
Abstract: Reduced-size user interfaces for providing weather information are disclosed. At an electronic device with a touch-sensitive display, indications of a location and a temperature at the location may be displayed. In some examples, a user may provide input through a touch on the touch-sensitive display and/or through a rotation of a rotatable input mechanism to display additional weather information, such as weather information for another location, another temperature, another time, and so forth. In some examples, the device may obtain data representing an upcoming activity, determine whether the activity is to begin within a threshold amount of time, and display weather information based on the upcoming activity. In some examples, the device may display an affordance at a position to indicate the time of day for which a weather condition is provided.

  • Patent number: 7265822
Abstract: A method and apparatus for determining color, presence and/or polarity of a component in a printed circuit board includes a sensor and an LED positioned behind a faceplate. The faceplate abuts the component and light is reflected from the LED off the component and received by the sensor. A resulting output signal is analyzed to determine the color, presence and/or polarity of the component in the printed circuit board, thereby ensuring that the printed circuit board is correctly assembled.

  • Patent number: 7227639
Abstract: A method and apparatus for determining a color and brightness of an LED includes a sensor having a plurality of filters and an output probe connected to the sensor, the output probe providing a color output and a brightness output in a single signal. The sensor may further include an input probe connected to the sensor providing power and a ground probe connected to the sensor providing a grounded connection to the sensor. The plurality of filters in the sensor are preferably configured in a matrix array of color receptors having different colors.

  • Patent number: 6490037
Abstract: A method and apparatus for verifying a color of an LED in a printed circuit board include a sensor that permits passage of light from a target wavelength of the color and generates a resulting output voltage based upon an intensity of light of the target wavelength. A test system analyzes the resulting output voltage and provides a pass/fail signal to indicate whether the LED is the correct color and/or in operation.
