  • Patent number: 9254773
Abstract: The control of an apparatus within a grain holding device for feeding grain to an unloader conveyor operable for conveying the grain from the holding device, includes sensing a predetermined condition or conditions representative of capacity of the unloader conveyor for receiving grain, and adaptively controlling the apparatus for feeding grain to the unloader conveyor in advantageous varying manners responsive to the conditions, including to delay initiation of feeding until the receiving capacity is increased, and to match the grain feed to the capacity. • Patent number: 8375826
Abstract: A rotary element and a rotary element balancing system of a combine harvester. The rotary element includes a rotary member that rotates during operation and one or more blade mount assemblies. The rotary element also includes one or more auto-balance assemblies mounted to the rotary member to compensate for a mass offset on the rotary element due to the one or more blade mount assemblies being dislodged or broken. The one or more auto-balance assemblies include one or more tracks and one or more spheres located inside the one or more tracks and in contact with first and second bearing race edges. Loads are transferred from at least one of the first bearing race edge and the second bearing race edge, when the rotary member rotates, to the one or more spheres that self-align within the track to compensate for the mass offset on the rotary element.

  • Patent number: 8006926
Abstract: A knife bank assembly of a counter knife assembly of an integral chopper assembly of a combine harvester that includes an elongated bracket member that extends between opposed knife bank end plates and has a plurality of spaced retainment mounts securable therealong, with at least one, and preferably two, knife blades being removably connectable to each retainment mount in a side by side arrangement. The knife elements are removably connectable to the retainment mounts at first and second space mounting points, preferably in such a way that the knife elements are maintained in an extended position by application of a biasing force at the second mounting point but are rotatable about the first mounting point to a displaced or relaxed position if a sufficient force is applied to the leading edge of the knife element to overcome the biasing force.

  • Patent number: 5895199
Abstract: Apparatus for coupling a front end loader to a tractor comprising a longitudinally extending loader mounting frame for pivotally supporting a pair of loader boom arms. The frame comprises a pair of transversely spaced support arms, and a pair of forwardly extending members affixed to the support arms. A pair of front mounting pins extend from the tractor for coupling the forwardly extending members of the frame to the front of the tractor. A pair of rear mounting pins extending from the tractor, cooperate with a latch assembly for coupling each transversely spaced support arm to a corresponding mounting pin under conditions where the forwardly extending members are coupled to the tractor. The latch assembly includes a notch in each of the support arms for receiving a mounting pin and a latch plate for holding the pin in the notch under conditions where the pin is received by the notch.

  • Patent number: 4721004
Abstract: A rugged and yet simple transmission gear selector apparatus includes a gear shift lever assembly having a lower lever portion mounted on a frame for pivotal movement about a first axis, an upper lever portion mounted on the lower lever portion for pivotal movement about a second axis normal the first axis, and with the upper level portion extending upwardly through a guide slot having a forward position and a reverse operating position therealong at the opposite sides of a longitudinal plane. An inhibitor mechanism is provided for blocking direct movement of the lever assembly between the positions and requiring a circuitous movement of the upper lever portion under an increased resistance in order to prevent the inadvertent selection of reverse speed by the vehicle operator.
