The cargo mat further includes a plurality of recessed portions within the recessed top surface of the cargo mat and a plurality of cavities extending from the top surface to the flat bottom surface.

Abstract: The multipurpose ashtray holder may be used as a general purpose ashtray or a holder for stationery products. The multipurpose ashtray holder includes a holder assembly for placement at select locations by the user, an ashtray assembly, and a connector pivotally connecting the holder assembly to the ashtray assembly so as to enable folding of the multipurpose ashtray holder between a closed, non-use state and an open, use state. The holder assembly has a holder body with a plurality of insert holes therein. The insert holes enable quick and safe extinguishing of flammable tobacco products or storage of elongate objects or office supplies. The ashtray assembly includes a tray with a plurality of spaced notches formed thereon. The tray enables collection of ash or office supplies and caps the holder assembly in the closed state.

Abstract: A book support and optical scanner assembly for converting printed text to an audio output includes a support for supporting an open book and a pair of optical scanners adapted to scan opposite pages. The assembly also includes means for moving the scanners from the top of the page to the bottom of a page. Further, both scanners can be rotated off of the book for turning a page. In addition, the assembly includes a text to audio converter for converting the scanned text into spoken words and in one embodiment a translator to translate the scanned text into a pre-selected language.

Abstract: The portable folding chair is a compact, folding multi-functional chair providing storage for, and interconnection with, a wide variety of auxiliary gear. The portable folding chair includes a seat, a backrest pivotally joined to a rear end of the seat, and a pair of sidewalls respectively secured to a pair of side edges of the seat. An upper edge of each sidewall has a substantially arcuate contour. A substantially U-shaped frame having opposed open and closed ends is provided, with the closed end being adapted for supporting a user's feet. The open end is pivotally secured to respective front edges of the sidewalls. A rear surface of the backrest and the substantially U-shaped frame are each substantially arcuate such that the rear surface of the backrest and the substantially U-shaped frame are positioned adjacent to, and in substantial alignment with, the upper edges of the pair of sidewalls when folded.

Abstract: A drain assembly includes a closing element having a lower surface and one or more floating elements extending from the lower surface. A receiver element has an inner ring and an outer ring and one or more receptacles disposed between the inner ring and outer ring. The receptacles receive corresponding floating elements and the receiver element has one or more inlet openings associated with the outer ring and one or more outlet openings associated with the inner ring. The one or more inlet openings receive a liquid to fill the receptacles to provide a lifting movement to the one or more floating elements within the corresponding one or more receptacles to lift the closing element. As the closing element lifts, the one or more receptacles fill with the liquid and drain the liquid from the one or more outlet openings.

Abstract: The external elevator/advertising board for buildings includes an elevator carriage riding on a track assembly on at least one side of a building. Each elevator carriage is defined by an elongate, open box frame having a control console mounted to a floor panel. A power assembly is operatively connected to the control console at the bottom of the elevator carriage. Operation of the console facilitates selective raising and lowering of the elevator carriage at select speeds along a side of the building to a select level for cleaning, maintenance, and emergency evacuation. A front panel of the box frame is disposed at an angle angled towards the ground. The front panel displays advertisements for maximum exposure to traffic around the building.

Abstract: A traffic control system for converting an intersection into a roundabout during periods of heavy traffic includes a mechanism for monitoring traffic flow through the intersection and about the roundabout. The system also includes a concave opening in and around the intersection and a concrete disc disposed in the cavity, a hydraulic lift is constructed and arranged to elevate the concrete disc above the level of the road and lights provided to alert motor vehicles to enter a roundabout defined by the elevated disc. The system also includes traffic lights for alerting a motor vehicle operator to drive onto the disc or around the disc to use the intersection and/or roundabout.

An upwardly extending frame includes two upwardly extending telescoping tubes and an upper cross member fixed to the tubes. An upper and a lower C-shaped support member are fixed to the upwardly extending frame and a clamp is provided to fix the distance between the C-shaped support members. The stand or cart also includes a first flexible belt, four guide members, and a central positioning member for positioning the central positioning member for different size gas cylinders. A second flexible belt extends from the central positioning member around the gas cylinder or cylinders to hold the cylinder or cylinders to the stand or cart.

Abstract: A stable stand or cart for one or more gas cylinders includes a T-shaped base assembly having a forwardly extending base member and a lower rear cross member with three casters fixed to a lower surface thereof. An upwardly extending frame includes two upwardly extending telescoping tubes and an upper cross member fixed to the tubes. An upper and a lower C-shaped support member are fixed to the upwardly extending frame and a clamp is provided to fix the distance between the C-shaped support members. The stand or cart also includes a first flexible belt, four guide members, and a central positioning member for positioning the central positioning member for different size gas cylinders. A second flexible belt extends from the central positioning member around the gas cylinder or cylinders to hold the cylinder or cylinders to the stand or cart.

Abstract: Apparatus for reducing pollution from a flare stack includes a platform disposed on or near the top of the flare stack and a plurality of baffles and filters disposed on the platform. A first plurality of upwardly extending stainless steel baffles is disposed around the flare stack while a second plurality of baffles is disposed about the outer periphery of the platform. A first and a second plurality of filters are disposed between the first and second plurality of baffles. The first plurality of filters associated with a fan, blower or pump for drawing flare gas into and out of the filter.

Abstract: A magnetic sweeper includes an upper body portion and a base assembly disposed below the upper body portion and a frame. The body defines a cavity with an open bottom portion. The base assembly includes a non-magnetizable frame and a magnetizable plate supported by the frame and a non-magnetizable collection basket disposed below and offset from the magnetizable plate. A pair of wheels and handle are provided for guiding and propelling the sweeper over a selected area of ground. In addition, the sweeper includes a battery and a solar cell for charging and recharging the battery as well as a pair of coils connected to the battery for generating a magnetic field to thereby magnetize the plate to attract ferro-metallic debris. Further, a mechanism is provided for dropping the ferro-metallic material into a collection basket.
