Abstract: A method for assembling a snap clip lug. The snap clip lug is assembled by inserting a resilient arm into a sleeve opening. The resilient arm is connected at one end to a base of a clasp member and has a locking tab at the other end. The sleeve is defined in a receptacle member with an opening at one end and a locking slot at the other end. The resilient arm is flexed in a first lateral direction during insertion into the sleeve opening. When the locking tab is engaged in the locking slot, the resilient arm flexes in a second lateral direction, causing it to be retained in the sleeve, thereby forming the snap clip lug.

Abstract: A method for disconnecting a snap clip lug. The method includes supplying a snap clip lug that is formed by a clasp member and a receptacle member. The clasp member has a resilient arm connected to a locking tab and the receptacle member has a sleeve that has a locking slot at one end. The resilient arm fits into the sleeve such that the locking tab engages the locking slot thereby retaining the resilient arm in the sleeve. The resilient arm is flexed in a lateral direction and the locking slot is disengaged from the locking slot. The clasp member is separated from the receptacle member, thereby disconnecting the snap clip lug.

Abstract: A quick disconnect swivel formed of a body, an arm, and a biasing member. The body includes a shaft, which extends generally outwardly from the body along a pivot axis. The arm includes a post, which extends generally outwardly from the arm, the arm defining an opening therein sized to receive the shaft so that the arm can be pivoted with respect to the body about the pivot axis between an opened position and a closed position, and the post and the body forming a lug when the arm is in the closed position. The bias member is operatively associated with the body and the arm and applies an axial force to the body and the arm. The body and the arm cooperatively engage one another to convert the axial force into a rotational force, the rotational force biasing the arm toward the closed position.
