    Abstract: A lighting system includes a housing. The housing includes a light source portion, an electronic component portion, and a partition wall that is disposed between the light source portion and the electronic component portion. Further, the housing includes a channel that extends at an angle downwards from a portion of the partition wall to the light source portion. The channel provides a passageway from the electronic component portion to the light source portion of the housing. A grommet is disposed in the inclined channel to prevent external environmental elements, such as dust, water, etc., from entering the electronic component portion from the light source portion. Further, the lighting system includes a mounting bracket on which one or more electronic components associated with the lighting system are mounted. The mounting bracket is disposed within the electronic component portion and coupled to a surface of the electronic component portion.

The circuit board is positioned within the inner wall's profile and includes a plurality of LEDs. The gasket is disposed within the groove. The bottom covering is positioned adjacent to the circuit board and is coupled to the cover. The gasket provides a seal between the cover and the bottom covering. The optic assembly is disposed within the inner wall's profile and between the cover and the circuit board. The optic assembly includes one or more apertures and one or more optics disposed around at least some of the apertures. Each optic is aligned with one or more LEDs.

The system can comprise a base that attaches on one end to the street side surface and on the other end to the streetlight pole. The base can comprise an enclosure having an opening and an associated door for providing access to an interior space of the enclosure. A hinge system can open and shut the door. When the door is shut, the hinge system can be contained within the interior space and thus hidden from view. When the door is open, the hinge system can elevate the door relative to the opening.

    Abstract: A light module includes circuit board with a top and bottom side. Multiple light emitting diodes (LEDs) are positioned along the top side of the circuit board. A bottom side of a gas permeable layer of material having top and bottom sides is adhered to at least a portion of the top side of the circuit board. A pair of elongated double-sided adhesive strips are coupled to the top side of the gas-permeable material near opposing ends of the circuit board. An optical lenses is positioned over each of the LEDs. A cover panel is then positioned over the circuit board, the first layer of material, the adhesive strips and at least a portion of each optic and adhered to top side of each of the elongated adhesive strips. Each lens includes an optical cavity and a recessed area adjacent the optical cavity for receiving a reflector therein.
