  • Publication number: 20240118464
Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed which includes an ultraviolet laser and at least one reflective mirror having a substrate which is made from beryllium, an aluminum metal matrix, or silicon carbide. The at least one mirror is adapted to reflect a laser beam generated from the ultraviolet laser, which can then be used on a silicon film used in the production of an electronic display. The laser beam can be used to anneal the silicon film, or in a laser lift-off process for separating the silicon film from a temporary substrate upon which the silicon film was mounted.

  • Patent number: 5105467
Abstract: A method of fingerprint verification includes determining a direction difference between a direction pattern of an input fingerprint and a direction pattern of a registered fingerprint and comparing the determined direction difference with predetermined upper and lower threshold values. The input and registered fingerprints are considered the same if the direction difference is lower than the lower threshold value, and the input and registered fingerprints are considered to be different if the direction difference is higher than the upper threshold value. If the direction different is between the upper and lower threshold values, minutiae of the input and registered fingerprints are extracted for verifying the input fingerprint. The extracting includes preprocessing of the input fingerprint image, uniboundary extraction of the input fingerprint minutiae, and restoration to eliminate pseudo-minutiae.

  • Patent number: 4723190
Abstract: A safety connector providing an overcurrent protective element, an overvoltage protective element and bimetal connecting terminals, in which the overcurrent protective element includes an upper terminal and lower terminal on the upper and lower part of the body, and which includes bimetal connecting terminals within the body, and a heating coil connected to the upper terminal and to a bimetal connecting terminal. Another bimetal connecting terminal is connected to the lower terminal. An overvoltage protective element is mounted on the bimetal connecting terminals on the electrodes and grounding electrode, respectively, and leading ends of the bimetal connecting terminals are placed to face each other.
