  • Publication number: 20040259501
Abstract: An appliance having programmable identification address storing non-memory includes a non-memory programmable address storing device. An ID address of the appliance is programmed using an electric fuse even when the appliance does not include non-volatile memory (NVM) or another memory. Accordingly, in portable appliances such as a portable audio device (an MP3 player) that supports Bluetooth communications the ID address can be stored by the appliance. Further, ID addresses of appliances, such as transmitting/receiving devices used in IEEE communications and mobile communications, can be stored without a need for NVM or another memory. The ID addresses can be assigned to these appliances by programming of an application designer.

  • Patent number: 6764449
Abstract: A method and apparatus for enabling a biopsy needle to be observed in a three-dimensional ultrasound diagnostic system using an interventional ultrasound system. The apparatus comprises an ultrasound transducer, a three-dimensional image-forming section, a section for extracting a target object, a location-calculating section, a display section, and a controller. The method comprises the steps of acquiring a two-dimensional ultrasound image of a subject; generating a three-dimensional volume image based on the two-dimensional ultrasound image; segmenting a target image, which corresponds to a target object within the subject, from the three-dimensional volume image; displaying a guide line of the biopsy guide on the segmented target image; extracting the segmented target image; acquiring information on a location of the biopsy needle by reference to the segmented target image; calculating an error based on the information; and displaying a guiding status of the biopsy needle based on the calculated error.

  • Patent number: 6402694
Abstract: A color imaging display method and apparatus in a color doppler imaging system can display a high quality of a color image in which a flash artifact which is a kind of a clutter signal is removed. The method and apparatus determines whether the flash artifact exists, according to the result obtained by frequency-estimating a doppler signal where an ultrasonic signal is filtered and a clutter signal where the ultrasonic signal is not filtered, and mixing the information obtained through the frequency estimation, and determines whether or not a corresponding pixel is displayed in an ultrasonic color doppler image. Thus, the pixel which has been determined as the flash artifact is not displayed, to thereby obtain a high quality of a color image.

  • Patent number: 6121677
Abstract: Integrated circuit regions are formed on an integrated circuit wafer. The integrated circuit wafer includes scribe regions located between the integrated circuit regions, the scribe regions include test pads that are electrically connected to the test circuits of integrated circuit regions via conductive lines. Test functions are provided to the test circuits in the integrated circuit regions via the test pads to determine the operability of the integrated circuit regions. The integrated circuit regions are separated from the plurality of scribe regions and the plurality of test pads located therein. Separating the integrated circuit regions from the scribe regions and the test pads, thereby may allow a reduction in the number of pads in the integrated circuits and a corresponding decrease in the size of respective integrated circuit packages.

  • Patent number: 5861772
Abstract: A charge pump circuit for generating an output voltage in response to a clock pulse is disclosed. The charge pump circuit has a switching node connected to a gate of a transistor which is connected between a high voltage output from a high voltage generator and the output voltage, a first path for providing a first coupling voltage to the switching node in response to the clock pulse and a second path for providing a second coupling voltage to the switching node in response to an inverse signal of the clock pulse. Each path includes a capacitor, where a capacitor in the first path has a coupling ratio greater than that of a capacitor of the second path.
