  • Patent number: 5249957
Abstract: An apparatus for producing an emulsion by agitatedly mixing liquid fuel and water. Low pollutant level emissions and an efficient combustion system are realized by burning this emulsion. An agitator chamber supplies liquid fuel and water from a liquid fuel tank and a water tank and agitating blades are arranged inside agitator chamber to agitatedly mix liquid fuel and water. Movable permanent magnets are fixed on agitator disks and an agitating blade driving motor rotates agitating blades to produce an ionized emulsion. A pump pressurizes the emulsion and a burner sprays it for burning.

  • Patent number: 4697536
Abstract: Vessels and the like require cleaning either periodically or whenever a need arises to remove various living things such as seaweeds and shells or contaminants such as oil for the sake of appearance and proper performance. Divers were conventionally employed to manually remove them one by one using a scraper as one means to remove such substances. Such manual operation is, however, extremely inefficient, involving great amounts of time and labor especially for large ships. According to the present invention, the main body of a cleaning apparatus is pressed against an underwater object to be cleaned by means of impellers which are provided substantially at the center of the main body and driven to rotate, whereby cleaning brushes which are provided at the bottom of the cleaning apparatus concentrically with the impellers are rotated to remove substances adherent to the object while the cleaning apparatus is manipulated to run on the object's surface.

  • Patent number: 4052950
Abstract: A device for cleaning materials attached to a vessel and a building structure below water level is provided which comprises a generally cylindrical outer shell and a central chamber arranged concentrically within the outer shell, the chamber having an impeller for discharging the attached materials together with water through a circular space between the outer wall of the chamber and the inner wall of the shell, and a cleaning device for removing the materials on the surface of the vessel and the structure. In operation of the impeller the device is absorbed and adhered onto a cleaning surface of the vessel and the building structure whereby cleaning operation can be effected without the device being pressed onto the cleaning surface.
