  • Patent number: 9249591
Abstract: Plastically deformable support bodies (16) are embedded in a gel-like elastic body (15). A bottom-surface adhesive layer (15b) of the gel-like elastic body (15) is bonded to a floor surface (F), and a pressurizing plate (13) is kept on a top-surface adhesive layer (15a). A leg section (2) of equipment (1) is restrained from moving laterally with a bolt (22) provided on the pressurizing plate (13). A load of the equipment (1) is used to apply pressure to a vibration-damping pad (12) via the pressurizing plate (13). A restraint wall (18) is disposed around the vibration-damping pad (12) and a caulking compound (20) is packed in the opening between the pressurizing plate (13) and the floor surface (F). The caulking compound (20) is blocked by the restraint wall (18), and the gel-like elastic body (15) is allowed to deform due to a gap (19) formed between the restraint wall (18) and the vibration-damping pad (12).

  • Publication number: 20150122969
Abstract: [Problem] To prevent, using a simple seismic isolation structure, vibration, noise, and toppling of a heavy object installed on a floor surface where anchor bolts cannot be used. [Solution] In a seismic isolation structure 11 for a machine 1, plastically deformable support bodies 16 are embedded in a gel-like elastic body 15 of a vibration-damping pad 12. A bottom-surface adhesive layer of the gel-like elastic body 15 is bonded to the floor surface, and a pressurizing plate 13 is bonded to a top-surface adhesive layer of the gel-like elastic body 15. The pressurizing plate 13 bears weight of the machine 1 and uniformly applies pressure to the entire vibration-damping pad 12. The base 21 of a holder 14 is welded to the upper surface of the pressurizing plate 13; a bolt 22 erected on the base 21 is caused to penetrate a through-hole 3 of a leg section 2; and the leg section 2 is restrained on the pressurizing plate 13 by the holder 14 from moving laterally.

  • Publication number: 20140175256
Abstract: Problems to be Solved: To securely prevent a portable pedestal for which anchor bolts cannot be used from tipping over due to earthquakes by simple works. Means to Solve the Problem: Provided in a portable pedestal 1 for supporting a transfer conveyer 3 are the same number of vibration-damping pads 6 as that of the feet 5. The vibration-damping pads 6 include an adhesive layer on the top and bottom sides of their gel elastic body 7 and hold a support member 8 capable of plastic deformation at the center of the gel elastic body 7. The vibration-damping pads 6 are interposed between the feet 5 and a foundation F to allow the load of the pedestal 1 to compress the support members 8 and the gel elastic bodies 7 so that the vibration-damping pads 6 may block the propagation of the vibrations caused by an earthquake from the foundation F to the pedestal 1.

  • Publication number: 20130000226
Abstract: In a gravestone structure including a foundation stone (2) and a headstone (3), four tip-resistant pads (4) and as many pressure plates (5) as the pads (4) are interposed between the foundation stone (2) and the headstone (3). Each of the tip-resistant pads (4) includes a sheet elastic body (6) and a point support member (7) embedded in an eccentric position in the sheet elastic body (6). The sheet elastic body (6) is formed of a transparent, flexible and elastic gel material that absorbs vibrations of the headstone (3). The point support member (7) is formed of a metal or resin harder than the gel elastic material and undergoes plastic deformation under the load of the headstone (3). In order to render the gravestone structure (1) seismically isolated, four tip-resistant pads (4) are arranged on the top surface of the foundation stone (2) with the point support members (7) oriented inward of the foundation stone (2).

  • Patent number: 8182910
Abstract: A tip-resistant sheet capable of preventing heavy and easily toppled structures such as tombstones and gravestones, memorial tablets, Buddhist images, furniture, refrigerators, pianos, heavy articles on four wheels, and furniture with thin legs from tipping over utilizes an elastic material that is characterized in that one or more types of spherical bodies, different from the elastic material, are embedded in the elastic material. The tip-resistant sheet is characterized in that the spherical bodies, different from the elastic material and having a diameter equal to or larger than the thickness of the elastic material, are used. The tip-resistant sheet can also utilize a composite material formed by laminating an elastic material onto a metal material and the spherical bodies, different from the elastic material and having a diameter equal to or larger than the thickness of the composite material, are placed against surface of the composite material.
