  • Patent number: 6825280
Abstract: Disclosed are a propylene polymer composition possessing excellent balance among rigidity and low warpage, resistance to deterioration caused by thermal oxidation during processing, weathering resistance, antistatic properties, and low bleeding properties, and a propylene resin composition which can easily produce molded products having excellent balance between rigidity and impact resistance (particularly low-temperature impact resistance) or heat resistance. The propylene polymer composition and the propylene resin composition comprise a propylene block copolymer consisting essentially of the following blocks (a) and (b) and having a melt flow rate of 0.

  • Patent number: 5219600
Abstract: A molded product for colored food, comprising (A) 0.01 to 1 part by weight of a hindered amine type light stabilizer and (B) 0.01 to 0.5 part by weight of an aromatic phosphite type and/or an aromatic phosphonite type antioxidant formulated per 100 parts by weight of a polyolefin containing substantially no phenol type antioxidant is disclosed. The molded product for colored food made of a polyolefin and having the composition of the present invention undergoes no discoloration even when contacted with a colored food for a long time and is also excellent in odor characteristic, mechanical characteristics and stability, etc., and therefore excellent as molded product for colored food, particularly sealed vessel, vessel for microwave oven heating.

  • Patent number: 4569736
Abstract: YMedical instruments, e.g., syringes, which can be sterilized by gamma irradiation and which are made of polyolefin resins (preferably a polypropylene polymer) which are resistant to gamma irradiation. The polyolefin is compounded with a specific hindered amine and a specific phenol or its phosphorous ester, each in an amount of from 0.01 to 1 part by weight per 100 parts of the polyolefin.

  • Patent number: 4507415
Abstract: Irradiation-sterilizable medical articles molded from a propylene polymer composition in which stabilizers are incorporated. Said composition comprises from 0.01 to 0.4 part by weight of each of a specific hindered amine and a specific phenol or its phosphite ester compound incorporated per 100 parts by weight of a propylene polymer with a weight-average molecular-weight to number-average molecular-weight ratio of 5 or below. The above-mentioned composition may additionally contain a sorbitol derivative as the nucleating agent. Medical articles produced from said composition by molding, for example, syringes are suitable for irradiation sterilization. Said medical articles when irradiated undergo little reduction in quality of the material and are accompanied by little bleeding or degradation of the incorporated stabilizers and nucleating agent.
