  • Patent number: 7246438
Abstract: A method for producing a heat exchanger. A louvered fin is provided, where the louvered fin has a first bridge member for attaching a first corrugated strip and a straightening member of the louvered fin together. A first corrugated strip is fixed between first and second adjacent tubes of the heat exchanger such that the first corrugated strip is kept in a straight shape by the first and second tubes. The straightening member is detached from the first corrugated strip by breaking the first bridge member such that there is provided a first sandwiched structure having the first corrugated strip fixed between the first and second tubes.

  • Patent number: 7032487
Abstract: A corrugated fin cutting device includes a pair of worms that restrains a position of a bottom portion of a corrugated fin material that is being continuously conveyed in a conveying direction, and a guide piece that approaches the bottom portion of the fin material that is being restrained by the pair of worms to determine a position of this bottom portion and moves in the conveying direction in synchronization with the fin material. Further, the corrugated fin cutting device includes cutting blades that move with the guide piece in the conveying direction and cut the bottom portion of the fin material that is positioned by the guide piece. The bottom portion of the fin material is cut when the guide piece passes the worms.

  • Patent number: 6968254
Abstract: A feedback controlled tension applying system includes a corrugated fin processing device that processes a fin material in continuous sheet form while applying a tension to the fin material. A tension applying device applies the tension to the fin material. An encoder measures a moving amount of the fin material, and a control device that feedback-controls the tension applying device based on a measurement result of the encoder so that the moving length amount per predetermined time of the material becomes a set value that is set in advance.

  • Patent number: 6571473
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a refrigerant tube for a condenser includes forming an inner fin like a band plate having a predetermined length, forming a holder having a substantially V-shaped open section and a predetermined length, inserting the inner fin into the holder from a V-shaped opening of the holder, and pressing the holder to close the V-shaped opening and change the substantially V-shaped open section to a compressed closed section, whereby the inner fin is fixed in the holder.

  • Patent number: 6564607
Abstract: A slitting device including first and second cutting rollers disposed parallel to each other, a first guide roller axially adjacent to the first cutting roller, and a second guide roller axially adjacent to the second cutting roller. The cutting rollers have axially adjacent cutting edges at which a sheet material is cut into two strips, and recessed portions on the outer circumferential surfaces. The guide rollers have cutout portions circumferentially extending and axially opposed to each other on the outer circumferential surfaces, and projections defined by the cutout portions and opposed to the recessed portions of the cutting rollers. The cutting rollers cooperate with the corresponding guide rollers to define therebetween spaces for the strips of the sheet material. The cutting rollers and the guide rollers have a same outer diameter.

  • Patent number: 5522245
Abstract: A metal ring producing device comprises a rigid roller and a resilient roller. The resilient roller has an outer cylindrical portion covered with an elastic annular member. The resilient roller is positioned near the rigid roller so that a metal plate member can be inserted between the resilient and rigid rollers. The resilient roller is rotated in a given direction. The elastic annular member is formed with equally spaced recesses. Each recess has a concave bottom surface which is shaped in conformity with an outer surface of the metal ring produced around the rigid roller. A ring removing mechanism is further employed which pushes one end of the metal ring and thus thrusts the metal ring off the rigid roller when the resilient roller stops at a position wherein one of the recesses is registered with the rigid roller.
