    Abstract: A light guide body includes a light introduction member (12) and a light reflection member (11), and a side reflection surface (14) for reflecting introduced light to an opposite region which is on the opposite side across an opening (13) is formed on a side surface part of the light reflection member (11). A groove part for guiding the introduced light toward a direction of a light emitting pointer (24) is formed around the opening (13) in the light reflection member (11). The groove part includes a first groove part (P1) and a second groove part (P2) around the opening (13). The first groove part (P1) includes a plurality of grooves oriented in a direction almost orthogonal to the introduced light, and the second groove part (P2) includes a plurality of grooves having a predetermined angle relative to the grooves of the first groove part (P1).

    Abstract: A vehicular meter unit includes an analog meter fixed only to a circuit board. A pointer connected to a shaft of the analog meter points a scale printed on a dial plate. A housing has a top plate and a peripheral wall perpendicularly extending from a periphery of the top plate. The dial plate is connected to the top plate without using screws. This arrangement improves the productivity and the luminance characteristic of the vehicular meter unit and suppresses the influence due to the thermal deformation of the dial plate.

    Abstract: A ship construction comprises a symmetrical hull having two screw propellers which are symmetrically arranged in respect to the longitudinal central plane of the hull. A rudder is mounted aft of the screw propellers and preferably in the central plane. The propellers and the rudder are so dimensioned that the diameter of each propeller is less than the spacing between the center lines of the two propeller shafts. In addition, the distance between the axes of the propellers is equal to or less than the diameter of each propeller plus the thickness of the rudder. The arrangement provides an improved propulsive efficiency without loss in maneuverability.
