Abstract: A system for determining power flows in a power plant including an energy storage system (ESS) including an energy storage device and a power generation system comprising a power source includes at least one memory storing a power plant model. The power plant model includes an ESS model including an energy storage device model, a power generation system model, a load model of a load configured to receive power from the power plant, and system relationships between the ESS model, the power generation system model, and the load model. The system further includes at least one processor configured to receive input parameters for the load, determine a power flow rate at a point in the power plant or an energy storage level of the energy storage device at a first time step, and generate a record comprising an indication of the power flow rate or energy storage level.

Abstract: A computer system for generating an insurance policy for a user includes a processor and a non-transitory, tangible, computer-readable storage medium having instructions stored thereon that, in response to execution by the processor, cause the processor to perform operations including: (i) receiving, from a wearable electronic user device, biometric data associated with a user; (ii) analyzing, based upon a plurality of rules, the biometric data; (iii) determining a health score associated with the user, based in part upon the analysis of the biometric data, wherein the health score represents a likelihood that the user will maintain a level of health for a predefined period of time; (iv) retrieving terms and conditions for an insurance policy from a database based upon the health score; and (v) generating, based upon the determining, an insurance policy for the user based upon the terms and conditions.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for detecting a protection device operation. The disclosed systems and methods may include detecting a voltage across a protection device. The voltage may be produced when the protection device operates from a closed state to an opened state. Furthermore, the disclosed systems and methods may include latching, in response to the detected voltage, the indication that the protection device operated from the closed state to the opened state. Moreover, the disclosed systems and methods may include transmitting, in response to the detected voltage, an indication that the protection device operated from a closed state to an opened state.
