Abstract: A bleed air control system is configured to vary the air pressure at the inlet of a gas turbine engine. The bleed air control system includes a first gas turbine engine configured to provide bleed air, a second gas turbine engine acting as an auxiliary power unit, and a bleed air control system configured to selectively provide bleed air from the first gas turbine engine to the second gas turbine engine.

Abstract: The system provides a control and management solution for linked gaming machines in a progressive game environment. The system can track multiple meters so that multiple progressive jackpots can be maintained for each game and/or for multiple participating business entities sharing in game revenue. Correspondingly, multiple progressive display meters can be controlled for each game machine. The system is scalable from near area progressive systems to wide area progressive systems. In the event that communication is lost with in a wide area progressive environment, one or more game machines may automatically switch to near area progressive behavior until communication is restored. The system is independent of currency and denomination limitations by employing and converting currency as units instead of particular denominations. Game machine population and participation can be remotely managed, updated, and changed from a central management location.

Abstract: A gaming system and method for concurrently playing a base game and an associated tournament game is disclosed. The system includes one or more gaming machines that are capable of stand-alone base game play. The gaming machines are coupled to a network that enables players of the gaming machines to place side wagers against other players of other gaming machines in the gaming system. As players at the gaming machines play stand-alone base games, the players are concurrently offered an opportunity to engage in side wagers on tournament play against other players at the gaming machines using scores from play of the stand-alone base games.
