  • Patent number: 11908110
Abstract: An ultrasound imaging system has an improved dynamic range control which enables a user to reduce image haze with substantially no effect on bright tissue in the image and without increasing speckle variance. A dynamic range processor processes an input image to produce an approximation image which is a spatially low pass filtered version of the input image. The dynamic range of the approximation image is compressed, and image detail, unaffected by the compression, is added back to produce a dynamically compressed image for display.

  • Patent number: 11561296
Abstract: An ultrasound imaging system according to the present disclosure may include an ultrasound probe, a display unit, and a processor configured to receive source image data having a first dynamic range, wherein the source image data comprises log compressed echo intensity values based on the ultrasound echoes detected by the ultrasound probe, generate a histogram of at least a portion of source image data, generate a cumulative density function for the histogram, receive an indication of at least two points on the cumulative density function (CDF), and cause the display unit to display an ultrasound image representative of the source image data displayed in accordance with the second dynamic range.

  • Publication number: 20220338845
Abstract: An ultrasound imaging system may include a view recognition processor. The view recognition processor may determine when a specific view has been acquired by the ultrasound imaging system. A signal indicating the specific view has been acquired may be provided to an optimization state controller included in the ultrasound imaging system. Based on the signal, the optimization state controller may determine imaging settings optimized for the specific view. The optimized imaging settings may be provided to other components of the ultrasound imaging system to acquire or process the ultrasound image of the specific view with the optimized imaging settings.

  • Publication number: 20200306178
Abstract: Methods and compositions for treating a patient for a condition characterized by an excess blood concentration of dissolved gas in at least one targeted region of the patient are provided. The method comprises administering a composition comprising a perfluorocarbon droplet emulsion into the blood of the patient; insonifying the at least one target region sufficient to achieve formation of microbubbles by droplet vaporization of at least a portion of the perfluorocarbon droplets present in the blood; whereby a concentration gradient favoring movement of gas molecules from the blood into the microbubbles is established for a time frame.
