  • Patent number: 10479042
Abstract: The machine and the method disclosed use a panel plastic film that is longitudinally folded into top and bottom halves before slitting along the fold. The halves are simultaneously transported ensuring print registration and requiring a single accumulator in the longitudinal direction. Side gusset pieces are inserted between the top and bottom halves through an initial gap enlarged by a pair of timing belts. The top and bottom halves partly sealed with the side gusset pieces are pulled away from each other and a means gives the ends of the side gusset pieces the shape of a rhomboid. Bottom gusset film is vertically sealed along the vertical axis of the rhomboid shaped ends of the side gusset pieces with the seal extending to the folded portions of the top and bottom halves. Longitudinal sealing and transverse sealing before cutting ensure sealing of the bottom gusset and side gussets.

  • Patent number: 9057751
Abstract: A ground fault detection circuit for detecting ground faults in electrical subsea conductor lines including a first electrical conductor line, a second electrical conductor line, a first ground fault detection line, and a second ground fault detection line. The ground fault detection circuit further includes a first resistor operatively connected to a voltage source and the first ground fault detection line, a second resistor operatively connected to the voltage source and the second ground fault detection line, and a voltage detection device configured to detect the voltage at an output end of the first resistor to determine the presence of a ground fault in at least one of the first and second conductor lines.

  • Patent number: 8545244
Abstract: A technique facilitates the reliable connection of cables in subsea environments. A cablehead system is designed to reliably connect cables to subsea components while providing long term protection of the connection in potentially harsh, subsea environments. The cablehead system comprises a cable clamp housing which may be coupled to a bulkhead assembly by a cavity housing which provides space for routing of internal communication lines. One or more additional protective components are incorporated into the cablehead system to ensure a reliable connection and to further protect the internal communication lines from exposure to the surrounding environment.
