  • Patent number: 7434857
Abstract: A chuck device having a pair of arms rotatably supported by arm shafts and an operation member. One of the arms is provided with a roller shaft rotatable together with the arm about one of the arm shafts. The other arm is provided with an arm drive portion rotatable together with the arm. The arm drive portion is biased so as to press a second roller. Between the operation member and the roller shaft is provided a motion input mechanism for converting the motion of the operation member to rotational motion of the roller shaft about the arm shaft as the center of rotation. Between the roller shaft and the arm drive portion is provided an interlock mechanism that causes the arm drive portion to rotate about the arm shaft in conjunction with the motion of the roller shaft about the arm shaft as the center of rotation.

  • Patent number: 6296102
Abstract: A container rejecting apparatus is used for rejecting a container filled with a liquid such as beverage from a feed conveyor to a discharge conveyor adjacent thereto. The container rejecting apparatus has a pusher for pushing the container from the feed conveyor onto the discharge conveyor. The pusher has a front face comprising a plurality of tubes of synthetic resin.

  • Patent number: 5214991
Abstract: A punching apparatus used for high speed punching of holes in a workpiece, such as a ceramic green sheet, for use as a printed-circuit board. Upper and lower die blocks, stationary relative to each other, are provided, with punch pins fixed in two dimensions by multiple guides. A fluid passage is provided within the lower die block for providing gaseous lubrication and cleaning of the punch pin while in operation.

  • Patent number: 5090284
Abstract: In a punching apparatus, a die set supports, in mutual opposition, an upper die part on which a plurality of punch pins upwardly urged by a plurality of springs are axially slidably disposed at predetermined intervals, and a lower die part formed with a plurality of holes opposing the punch pins. A device for driving the punch pins includes a plurality of drive shafts each having at least three shaft portions disposed adjacent to each other, part of the shaft portions being formed of a magnetic material and the remaining part thereof being formed of a non-magnetic material. At least two electromagnetic coils are fitted around the shaft portions of each drive shaft, and a clutch mechanism disposed on one end of each drive shaft separably couples the drive shaft with the punch pin. The driving device greatly reduces the amount of heat generated by the electromagnetic coils to allow the adoption of an air cooling system, and increases punching force to assure positive working.

  • Patent number: 4667113
Abstract: In a tool failure detection apparatus for a working machine such as a drilling machine for circuit boards, light is irradiated onto a workable area of a workpiece, and reflection light from the workable area is picked up by an imaging unit to produce a video signal. A video signal indicative of at least either one of a tool image and a worked void image which is picked up within a predetermined region of a picture is sampled to calculate an image area. A comparator compares a calculated image area with a preset reference value indicative of normality of the tool to judge whether the tool is normal or broken.
