Patent number: 8258785Abstract: An object of the invention is to obtain a magnetic resonance spectroscopic image to which the MAC summation is applied with high accuracy and in short time, even though a phase characteristic distribution of the MAC has a spatial non-uniformity, in the MRSI measurement using a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus provided with a MAC. Using a non-water-suppressed image signal with high SNR, obtained in the non-water-suppressed measurement (a reference measurement) without water suppression, a correction value for correcting the phase distortion for the MAC summation is calculated on each pixel in each coil. After correcting a phase on each pixel in each coil of a main-scan image signal measured under suppressing water (water-suppressed image signal) using the corrective value, signal adding operation (summation) is performed. Then, a phase correction in a spectrum-axis is to be performed on the summed spectrum signal.Type: GrantFiled: December 17, 2007Date of Patent: September 4, 2012Assignee: Hitachi Medical CorporationInventors: Satoshi Hirata, Yoshitaka Bito, Kiyoharu Tanaka

Patent number: 5798773Abstract: A recording apparatus records an image by scanning a first recording head relative to a recording medium of a particular type. The apparatus includes the first recording head, a pattern recording controller, a reader, a restoring device, a second recording head, a discriminator and a control unit. The pattern recording controller controls recording of a predetermined pattern with the first recording head at a predetermined timing either on the recording medium or on a pattern recording medium different from the recording medium. The reader reads the predetermined pattern and the restoring device performs a discharge restoring operation of the recording head. The discriminator discriminates a recording state of the first recording head, based on the predetermined pattern read by the reader.Type: GrantFiled: June 17, 1997Date of Patent: August 25, 1998Assignee: Canon Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Akira Hiramatsu, Kiyoharu Tanaka, Yasuyuki Takanaka

Patent number: 5787331Abstract: In order to correct curl of a recording sheet, having images recorded on both surfaces thereof, discharged from an image forming apparatus, the amount of a toner on a first surface of the recording sheet is stored in a memory. There is provided a unit for calculating the amount of correction of the curl by comparing the stored amount with the amount of the toner on a second surface of the sheet. In calculating the amount of correction of the curl, the amount of the toner, the kind, the thickness and the size of the sheet, the ambient temperature and humidity, and the like are used.Type: GrantFiled: June 3, 1997Date of Patent: July 28, 1998Assignee: Canon Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Keiko Ohkuma, Kiyoharu Tanaka, Tooru Matsuyama
