    Abstract: An oxygen absorbing sheet is disclosed, which is obtained by molding a resin composition comprising from 15 to 70% by weight of a thermoplastic resin and from 30 to 85% by weight of an oxygen absorbent into a sheet having a thickness of from 10 .mu.m to 5 mm and stretching the sheet at least uniaxially at a stretch ratio of from 1.5 to 8.0. The oxygen absorbing sheet is easy to handle, and its oxygen absorption capacity is arbitrarily controllable.

    Abstract: A breathable film and a process for producing the same are disclosed, the breathable film comprising a resin composition comprising (1) 100 parts by weight of a linear low-density polyethylene resin having a density of from 0.870 to 0.915 g/cm.sup.3 and containing from 15 to 50% by weight of a component which is extractable with xylene at room temperature and which has a weight average molecular chain length of from 1,000 to 9,000 .ANG.; (2) from 50 to 400 parts by weight of a filler; and optionally, (3) from 0.5 to 8 parts by weight of a nonionic surface active agent. The breathable film of the invention not only has excellent film moldability and film stretchability but also shows high breathability, good touch and appearance, and high strength.

Said oxide sol comprises not less than 20% by weight of an oxide such as SiO.sub.2, Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 or the like in a dispersion medium containing at least 80% by mole of a reactive monomer such as acrylic acid, its esters, .alpha.-substituted acrylic acid esters, etc.These oxide sols have a good coating property and stable compatibility with organic solvents and are useful as modifiers for resins, binders for ceramics, thickening agents for cosmetics, coating agents for paper, antistatic agents for fabrics.

    Abstract: A laminated polypropylene film consisting of a crystalline polypropylene layer having laminated to at least one side thereof a copolymer layer, said copolymer being a random copolymer of propylene and an .alpha.-olefin having 4 or more carbon atoms or a random copolymer of propylene, an .alpha.-olefin having 4 or more carbon atoms and ethylene obtained by vapor phase polymerization in the substantial absence of a liquid medium and satisfying the following conditions (1) to (4):(1) the content of an .alpha.-olefin having 4 or more carbon atoms in the copolymer is 8 to 25 mole %,(2) the content of ethylene in the copolymer is 3 mole % or less,(3) the content of a cold xylene-soluble portion in the copolymer is 15 to 60% by weight, and(4) the content of a boiling n-heptane-insoluble portion in the copolymer is 7% by weight or more. Said laminated film has an excellent low-temperature heat-sealability, an excellent transparency, a low blocking and a good scratch resistance.

    Abstract: A packaging shrink film consisting essentially of a random copolymer of propylene and an .alpha.-olefin having 4 or more carbon atoms or a random copolymer of propylene, an .alpha.-olefin having 4 or more carbon atoms and ethylene, said random copolymer satisfying the following conditions:(1) the content of an .alpha.-olefin having 4 or more carbon atoms in the copolymer is 8 to 30 mole %,(2) the content of ethylene in the copolymer is 3 mole % or less,(3) the content of a cold xylene-soluble portion in the copolymer is 15 to 60% by weight, and(4) the content of a boiling n-heptane-insoluble portion in the copolymer is 7% by weight or more, said film having been stretched. The packaging shrink film is soft and excels in low-temperature shrink characteristics as well as in transparency and gloss.

    Abstract: A sand mold composition for the metal casting comprising a molding sand and pullulan as a binder therefor. As compared with prior art, the present composition has following advantages: in the molding step, no gas, dust, noise, or vibration is generated; in the pouring and sand stripping steps, neither noxious gas nor offensive odor is emitted; although the mold has a sufficiently high strength at room temperature for the convenient handling, it is readily broken down after the casting and so renders the knock-out and sand stripping very easy; and the recovered sand can be reused as such, practically without any after-treatment. The molding cycle is comparable to that of conventional oil sand or carbon dioxide-bonded mold.
