  • Publication number: 20100037643
Abstract: Provided is a vehicular refrigerating cycle comprising a compressor, which uses carbon dioxide refrigerant and which has a displacement control valve capable of controlling a displacement in response to an external signal. The vehicular refrigerating cycle comprises a falling-off preventing means for stopping a movement of the displacement control valve in a direction in which the displacement control valve comes out of its mounting position on the compressor, disposed at a portion which is positioned in the direction for the displacement control valve to come out of its mounting position on the compressor and positioned on this side of a position for the displacement control valve to completely fall off from the compressor. The displacement control valve can be prevented from exerting unpreferred influences upon the environment, even if the displacement control valve being mounted on the compressor should become so unfixed for some reason as could pop out of the compressor.

  • Publication number: 20060288732
Abstract: It is an object of the invention to provide a refrigeration cycle which uses HFC-152a as refrigerant, and can be operated stably without hunting of the superheat degree. A charge amount of refrigerant is increased, and refrigerant at an inlet of an expansion device is placed in a state where the subcool degree is ensured to be at least 5 degrees such that the subcool degree does not become equal to zero by variation in pressure. This suppresses fluctuation in the superheat degree of refrigerant at an outlet of an evaporator to thereby stabilize the system. In this state, to enhance the efficiency of a compressor, the superheat degree can be increased by decreasing the set value of the expansion device.

  • Patent number: 6185955
Abstract: In a refrigerating system using a given refrigerant, a compressor (1) contains lubricating oil and compresses the given refrigerant into a supercritical state having pressure higher than the critical pressure of the given refrigerant. In this event, the compressor discharges a compressed refrigerant of the supercritical state together with the lubricating oil. The compressed refrigerant is separated from the lubricating oil by an oil separator (2) and thereafter cooled in a radiator (3) into a cooled refrigerant. After being decompressed in an expander (4) and evaporated in an evaporator (5), the cooled refrigerant is supplied as the given refrigerant to the compressor.

  • Patent number: 5082426
Abstract: A jet pump structure for a fuel tank having first and second chambers therein includes first, second and third fuel pipes all of which are connected to a vacuum chamber provided within the fuel tank. The first pipe returns oversupplied fuel into the vacuum chamber, the second pipe transfers fuel stored in the first chamber into the vacuum chamber, and the third pipe receives the fuel from the first and second pipes and discharge same into the second chamber. A flow guide member is provided within the first pipe, which receives the oversupplied fuel to form same into a swirl flow. The swirl flow is ejected from the first pipe as a jet flow into the vacuum chamber to provide a vacuum therearound within the vacuum chamber. The ejected swirl flow further works to seal the vacuum chamber against the third pipe so that the vacuum generated within the vacuum chamber is prevented from being released through the third pipe to effectively suck the fuel from the first chamber.

  • Patent number: 4838307
Abstract: A bottom wall of a fuel tank body defines an inwardly extending projection which separates at least a lower segment of an interior of the fuel tank body into a first fuel chamber and a second fuel chamber. Fuel is pumped out of the first fuel chamber. A portion of the fuel pumped out of the first fuel chamber is returned to the first fuel chamber by way of an ejector pump disposed within the fuel tank body. The ejector pump is driven by the return fuel. A communication pipe connects the second fuel chamber to the ejector pump. The ejector pump transports fuel from the second fuel chamber to the first fuel chamber via the communication pipe.

  • Patent number: 4834132
Abstract: A fuel supply system including a fuel tank, a feed conduit through which fuel is pumped from the fuel tank, and a return conduit through which excess fuel is returned to the fuel tank. The fuel tank has first and second sumps. The system comprises an ejector pump having a pressure chamber opening through a throat into the first sump. The pressure chamber is connected through a communication conduit to the second sump. The ejector pump includes a fuel nozzle having an inlet port connected to the return conduit and a discharge end opening into the pressure chamber for discharging a jet of fuel into the pressure chamber to create a negative pressure in the pressure chamber so as to suck fuel through the communication conduit from the second sump. In one aspect of the invention, a relief valve is provided which is responsive to a back pressure produced in the fuel nozzle for relieving the back pressure to the first sump when the back pressure exceeds a predetermined value.
