  • Patent number: 6120012
Abstract: An engine mount which is capable of changing its vibration transmission characteristics with a simple structure using an inexpensive actuator is provided. A partition is inserted to a side member to which a mount rubber (rubber vibration isolator) of the engine mount is spliced to close a space between the mount rubber and to create an air chamber. An air duct pipe which communicates with the air chamber is connected to the side member and is connected to a VSV (vacuum switching valve) via a connection pipe. The VSV is controlled to ON/OFF states based on a driving voltage Vout from an ECU which corresponds to explosive vibrations of the engine to switch pressure within the air chamber to negative pressure of a vacuum tank in which negative pressure of an intake manifold is accumulated or to atmospheric pressure, interlocking with the vibration of the engine.

  • Patent number: 6047905
Abstract: The present invention aims to improve evenness of atomizing of fuel in a fuel injection valve. An inner bottom surface of a fuel injection chamber 16 opened or closed by a needle valve 12 is designed in semi-spherical shape, and an injection nozzle 17 is formed obliquely on its bottom surface. To reduce deviation of flow velocity distribution in axial direction of said injection nozzle 17 of the fuel entering said injection nozzle 17, position of the injection nozzle 17 is deviated to a direction rotated by 90.degree. from tilting direction of the injection nozzle 17 toward swirling direction of the fuel with respect to the center of the bottom surface of the fuel injection chamber 16. This is because, in case the injection nozzle 17 is provided at the center of the bottom surface of the fuel injection chamber 16, axial flow velocity reaches minimum at 90.degree. and reaches maximum at 270.degree..

  • Patent number: 5601280
Abstract: A liquid-sealed mounting device that can suitably attenuate and cut off various vibrations of an engine, reduce the number of parts and components necessary, and reduce the energy consumed by the actuator by lowering the operation ratio thereof. The liquid-sealed mounting device includes an upper liquid chamber and a lower liquid chamber, both of which are sealed an have liquid contained therein. The chambers communicate with each other via two orifices provided therebetween. One of the orifices is normally open, while the second orifice may be opened and closed by means of a valve body. An electromagnetic actuator drives the valve body to the open or closed position thereof, and a vibration absorber vibrated and driven by the electromagnetic actuator is provided in the upper liquid chamber. The valve body and the vibration absorber may be used together as a unitary member.
