  • Patent number: 7727672
Abstract: A metal plate and an electrode in a polymer lithium ion secondary battery or the like are welded certainly, and it is accomplished to further improve the reliability and the durability thereof. Each of an upper metal plate (7a) and a lower metal plate (9a) on the positive pole/terminal is welded to a pole/terminal of positive electrode (3) so that the pole/terminal of positive electrode (3) may be sandwiched from each of the upper and lower sides. Moreover, each of an upper metal plate (7b) and a lower metal plate (9b) on the negative pole/terminal is welded to a pole/terminal of negative electrode (5) so that the pole/terminal of negative electrode (5) may be sandwiched from each of the upper and lower sides. This eliminates occurrence of poor welding in the electric resistance welding.

  • Patent number: 4819189
Abstract: A terminal computer used as a workstation has a display unit which displays a desired number of windows on its display screen, allowing the windows to overlap one upon another. Plural pieces of data specifying the positions and sizes of the windows are stored into a memory. Data representing the display priorities of the windows are stored into another memory. A coordinate input device, known as "a mouse," is manually operated by an operator, and a cursor displayed on the screen of the display unit moves with movement of the mouse on a flat surface. The most current coordinates of the cursor on the screen are stored as present-cursor position data into a memory. A window presentation controlling section is provided for comparing the present-cursor position data with the positions and sizes of the windows.

  • Patent number: 4755955
Abstract: A document creating apparatus allows the insertion of strings of characters within a display area of a boundary figure to have good balance. The display area of the strings of characters is compared with that of the boundary figure. The strings of characters are reduced or enlarged or the boundary figure is enlarged or reduced in accordance with the comparison result so as to display the strings of characters and the figure with good balance.

  • Patent number: 4542477
Abstract: An information retrieval system in which various information is indexed synthetically into such relations as the synonym, the broader term and the narrower term to provide a thesaurus and the words are coded to provide a keyword relation table, an index table and a word table each stored in a memory device respectively so that the desired information retrieval operation may be conveniently performed with use of a computer system. Particularly, a memory capacity even for memory of the thesaurus of large scale may be reduced considerably with simplification of the computer system.

  • Patent number: 4451303
Abstract: A method for producing a semiconductor element which can form a deep P-type impurity region by a diffusion of aluminum. A porous alumina layer is first formed on a semiconductor substrate. Then, a diffusion-protective layer formed of a material having a large oxygen-diffusion-inhibiting ability such as Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 is formed on the porous alumina layer. Subsequently, aluminum ions are implanted in the porous alumina layer through the diffusion-protective layer. Thereafter, a heat treatment is performed to diffuse the aluminum of the aluminum ion-implanted region in the semiconductor substrate, and a P-type impurity region is formed. Alternatively, a porous alumina layer is formed on the semiconductor substrate, and an aluminum layer is then formed thereon. The diffusion-protective layer is formed on the aluminum layer, and a heat treatment is then performed, thereby diffusing the aluminum forming the aluminum layer in the semiconductor substrate, and a P-type impurity region is thus formed.

  • Patent number: 4189414
Abstract: Novel coating compositions for architectural use are provided, which include a quaternary ammonium silicate having a silica content of 10 to 60% by weight and a liquid epoxide resin, besides the conventional ingredients, such as pigments, fillers, aggregates and water, and which are particularly capable of producing films having excellent adherency to mortar or concrete surfaces. If a stabilized silica sol is added to the compositions, films produced therefrom have much improved resistance to water at low temperatures as well as freeze-thaw stability.

  • Patent number: 4057525
Abstract: A novel stable silica sol which does not gel even at low temperatures is prepared by adding a di -or polyhydric alcohol having three or more carbon atoms and a water-soluble melamine resin to a silica sol. A novel water-based coating composition which requires only an applying step, not a baking step nor a drying step, in the use is prepared by adding an aggregate or filler and usual additives for coating material to the aforesaid stable silica sol as binder. By adding further a small amount of a synthetic resin emulsion to said binder, an inorganic coating composition containing a smaller amount of organic materials than that in prior products can be obtained. The coating therefrom is excellent in strength and its fire resistance is not lowered.
