  • Patent number: 7125258
Abstract: The present invention relates to a card-type terminal such as a PC card with a memory card such as a USIM card. It allows a memory card to be secured easily on a tray and inserted easily into a card-type terminal. A card-type terminal includes a tray slidable in and out freely with a memory card mounted, and a guide which helps the tray slide in and houses the inserted tray; in which the memory card is placed on the tray, which is slid into the guide, thereby installing the memory card in the card-type terminal. The tray has a holder which secures, to the tray, the forward-end center section of the memory card mounted along the insertion direction of the tray and an elastic restraining piece which secures, to the tray, the backward-end center section of the memory card mounted along the insertion direction of the tray.

  • Publication number: 20050282583
Abstract: A card model radio-communication terminal device comprises a card interface part which is accommodated in a host device to provide a function as a transmitter/receiver terminal for radio communications. An extension housing part is separated from the card interface part and not accommodated in the host device. A card loading part is arranged in the extension housing part to load a card that is capable of being inserted to and removed from the extension housing part, into the card loading part. The card loading part is arranged so that a direction of removal of the card accords with a direction of insertion of the card interface part to the host device, and a card slot of the extension housing part and a housing side wall of the host device are mutually opposed in proximity when the card interface part is inserted in the host device.

  • Patent number: 6922212
Abstract: A portable electronic device is capable of protecting a camera against impact from outer peripheries of a casing, and clearly indicating the passage of the camera through an image-inversion position. A camera (30) is rotatably installed in a casing (40). Windows (40d, 40e), through which the camera is able to view the outside of the casing and to be operated to rotate by a user, are formed in a front wall (40a) and a rear wall (40b), respectively, of the casing. Each of frames enclosing the windows, respectively, has a part which lies near an outer peripheral side of the casing and which is constituted by a bridge portion (44) connected with the casing. In this construction, all the outer peripheral sides of the camera (30) excepting those corresponding to the front and rear sides of the casing are covered with the casing and the bridge portion (44). As a result, an impact applied to the camera from a peripheral side of the casing adjacent to the bridge portion can be blocked by the bridge portion.

  • Patent number: 6412771
Abstract: A paper separating unit and an electronic printing apparatus which includes said paper separating unit wherein paper is picked by a pick roller from a paper container, is fed into a gap between a first feed roller and a separate roller which are rotating in the same rotational direction, then the first sheet of paper is separated from the other and is fed to a second feed roller, and when the first paper is acceleratedly fed, and a motor which drives the first feed roller and the separate roller is stopped, a one-way clutch which prevents a separate roller from reverse-rotating together with the paper conveyed by the second feed roller so that feeding more than one sheet of paper can be firmly prevented.

  • Patent number: 5581338
Abstract: A toner image transferring device is used to electrostatically transfer a charged toner image from a roller to a sheet of paper. The device includes a transfer charger for giving the paper an electric charge. A charge eliminator is located next to the roller for partially eliminating the electric charge from the paper. The charge eliminator is positioned to be adjacent to the paper and the roller, but displaced from the transfer charger. Paper passes through the device such that the paper is in contact with the roller when passing over the transfer charger, thereby optimizing the transfer of the toner image from the roller to the paper.
