  • Publication number: 20040120236
Abstract: It is a disc in which it is possible to know with ease what contents are recorded on which disc without reproducing the contents of the disc, and a fabrication method as well as a recording reproducing system thereof. A recording surface (110) of an optical disc (100) is formed as an inner area (111A), a clamping area (111B), a transition area (113), an information recording area (114), and a rim area (115), each of an annular shape and aligned from the inner side to the outer side of the radial direction. Disc identification information is recorded in the transition area (113) of the optical disc (100) as a format for recording information in the transition area (113) mentioned above. Further, the disc identification information recorded on the optical disc (100) is provided in a spot on the optical disc (100) so as to be visible from outside.

  • Patent number: 5886815
Abstract: Binoculars equipped with focus adjustment nut 53 to which left object lens holder 42 of the left optical system is linked, dioptric adjustment nut 61 to which right object lens holder 41 is linked and which is attached such that it may move relative to focus adjustment nut 53, and focus adjustment dial 51 and dioptric adjustment dial 63 to move said nuts, respectively. When dioptric adjustment dial 63 is operated, dioptric adjustment nut 61 moves along the optical axis, together with which movement right object lens holder 41 linked to dioptric adjustment nut 61 moves, whereby dioptric adjustment is carried out. Focus adjustment dial 51 is located on either the top or bottom surface of the binoculars, and dioptric adjustment dial 63 is located on the other surface.

  • Patent number: 5822115
Abstract: Binoculars having a fixed lens mount, a movable lens mount which is movable straight in a direction as approaching or moving away from the fixed lens mount to adjust their distance to viewer's eyes, a cover member for concealing a space formed between the fixed lens mount and the movable lens mount in accordance with a moving state of the movable lens mount. To the fixed lens mount is attached a first guide engaging with the movable lens mount to slidably guide the movable lens mount as well as a second guide engaging with the cover member so that the cover member is slidable along the second guide together with the movement of the movable lens mount. The binocular further includes a focus adjusting system between both lens mounts to move an objective lens incorporated in each lens mount in a direction of an optical axis, and an erect prism unit including a roof prism in each lens mount.

  • Patent number: 5729384
Abstract: A telescope has an objective lens system, an eyepiece optical system, and a third lens system between the objective lens system and the eyepiece optical system. The objective lens system is provided with a circular shape lens whose upper and lower portions are cut off. The eyepiece optical system is also provided with a circular shape lens whose upper and lower portions are cut off. The third lens system is provided with a circular shape lens which is disposed in a position where a light beam formed by the objective lens system has a smaller cross-sectional area.

  • Patent number: 5640271
Abstract: A binocular has the right and left optical systems. A distance between these optical systems is variable for an adjustment of the pupil distance. A protecting member is arranged to protect objective lenses and eyepieces of the optical systems by sheltering them when the binocular is housed. The protecting member is movable to release the sheltering condition to expose the lenses and the eyepieces when the binocular is used. The protecting member is driven in liaison with an operation of the adjustment of the pupil distance.

  • Patent number: 5610761
Abstract: A focusing lens for adjusting the dioptric power in accordance with the user's dioptric power is provided in each of right and left lens barrels. When a main switch dial is set at a normal position, a microcomputer sets the focusing lens at a dioptric power of 0 by controlling a motor so that the focusing lens moves to a position corresponding to a dioptric power of 0.

  • Patent number: 4609947
Abstract: A video signal recording apparatus of reduced size for portability combines a video camera and helical scan video tape recorder in a single unit, in which the reduced size is obtained in part by having a tape guide drum of reduced diameter, which requires a tape wrap angle greater than the conventional 180.degree. and employs a pair of rotary tape heads that are arranged close together relative to the diametrically opposed conventional head arrangement. The timing of the heads in recording the fields of the video signals as tracks is controlled by a vertical synchronization signal having pulses that are delayed to account for the finite distance between the two rotary heads. The vertical sync signal then has a different time period for a first field than it does for a second field of one frame of the video signal. The camera has an image pickup portion that is caused to be scanned by the same synchronization signals utilized in the recording operation.
