  • Patent number: 4639476
Abstract: An epoxy resin powder coating composition is described, comprising an epoxy resin and at least a hardener and a filler compounded thereto, wherein the filler is a mixture of from 30 to 180 parts by weight of a needle-like glass powder having an average length of at least 40 .mu.m and an aspect ratio of at least 4:1 and at least 30 parts by weight of a granular inorganic filler having an average particle diameter of 1.0 .mu.m or less, both being based on 100 parts by weight of the epoxy resin. This powder coating composition can provide a coating exhibiting excellent impact resistance not only at room temperature but also at lower temperatures, and further having good flexibility. A steel member with the coating of the present powder coating composition has a high practical value.

  • Patent number: 4454767
Abstract: An ultrasonic metering device having two ultrasonic transducers, each having an ultrasonic conversion element and a wedge for holding the conversion element, mounted on a pair of mounting members which are adapted to be mounted on a pipe in which a fluid to be measured flows. The mounting members clamp the pipe with first end portions of the mounting members being hingedly coupled to each other. Tightening means is provided for coupling opposite free end portions of the mounting members which have clamped the pipe to thereby fixedly secure the mounting members to the pipe.

  • Patent number: 4374477
Abstract: An ultrasonic measuring device for measuring the fluid flow of a high temperature fluid in a conduit. Ultrasonic transducers are mounted on first and second frames which have end portions hingedly coupled to one another. A tightening device at the other ends of the frames are used to secure the frames around the conduit carrying the fluid to be measured. Lead wires extend through hollow pipes between the ultrasonic transducers and connecting terminals at the outward ends thereof. Heat radiating fins may be provided at the outward ends of the pipes. With this construction, the outward ends of the pipes are at room temperature so that ordinary coaxial cables may be joined to the connecting terminals.

  • Patent number: 4264789
Abstract: A voice coil assembly for a speaker comprises a substrate, a spiral pattern coil formed on the substrate, at least one holder fixedly secured to the periphery of the substrate, and at least one metallic layer attached to said substrate. The metallic layer facilitates the dissipation of the heat generated by the voice coil, while a pair of metallic layers establishes electrical connections between the voice coil terminals and external terminal strips. The shape of the opening of the holder(s) may be made other than rectangular for avoiding the occurrence of standing waves which cause the frequency characteristic of the speaker to be deteriorated.

  • Patent number: 3932585
Abstract: A method of removing a nitrogen oxide from an exhaust containing the same which comprises preparing an absorbent solution by adding divalent copper ions alone or a mixture of the divalent copper ions and divalent manganese ions to an acid aqueous solution containing sulfites or acid sulfites of ammonium, alkaline metals, or alkaline earth metals or a mixture of two or more of these compounds; and introducing the plant exhaust into the absorbent solution to carry out reaction between the sulfite radical of the absorbent solution and the nitrogen oxides contained in the exhaust to reduce the nitrogen oxides to nitrogen gas.
