  • Patent number: 6389896
Abstract: A vehicular meter unit includes an analog meter fixed only to a circuit board. A pointer connected to a shaft of the analog meter points a scale printed on a dial plate. A housing has a top plate and a peripheral wall perpendicularly extending from a periphery of the top plate. The dial plate is connected to the top plate without using screws. This arrangement improves the productivity and the luminance characteristic of the vehicular meter unit and suppresses the influence due to the thermal deformation of the dial plate.

  • Patent number: 6141885
Abstract: A positioning system for a circuit board having a reference positioning hole. The positioning system has a table on which the circuit board is placed and a positioning pin unit. The positioning pin unit has a plurality of nested positioning pins, each having a different pin diameter, and a plurality of springs each supporting at least one of the plurality of nested positioning pins. The circuit board, which is placed on the table, is positioned by inserting into the reference positioning hole that positioning pin having a diameter substantially matching the diameter of the reference positioning hole.

  • Patent number: 5044304
Abstract: An indicator gauge is disclosed, which comprises a housing; a dial board installed in the housing; and a pointer arranged in such a manner that an elongate pointing portion moves over a front face of the dial board. A narrow band of fluorescent substance is centrally located longitudinally along the full length of the pointing portion. The narrow band is bordered on each side along the full length by remaining areas of the pointing portion free of any fluorescent substance to create a contrasting appearance for maintaining a distinction between the band and indicia on the dial board when subject to ultraviolet light. An ultraviolet lamp is arranged in front of the dial board and the pointer to excite and thus cause the fluorescent part of the pointer to emit visible light.
