  • Publication number: 20120162501
Abstract: An electronic device comprises a housing, a sliding cover and an internal member. The housing includes a plate-like member that defines a slide opening. The sliding cover includes a cover component disposed on the plate-like member and slidably attached to the slide opening, a detected component fixed to the cover component and extending into the housing, and a first restrictor fixed to the cover component. The internal member is disposed inside the housing and includes a detector switch having a contact component configured to contact the detected component when the detected component is at a specific position and a second restrictor adjacent to the first restrictor when the detected component is at the specific position. The detector switch detects when the contact component contacts the detected component. The first and second restrictors are configured to restrict movement of the plate-like member when the detected component is at the specific position.

  • Patent number: 5125959
Abstract: A method of thinning lateral flowers of apples, comprising applying of flower thinning effective amount of a pyrazole compound represented by general formula (I) ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 represents an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms; andR.sub.2 and R.sub.3, which are the same or different, each represent a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms,to flowers of apples. A compound in which R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are each a methyl group, and R.sub.3 is a hydrogen atom is preferred. The pyrazole compounds are applied at a flowering stage of apples, preferably in a period from immediately after full bloom to terminal flowers of apples to 2 days thereafter, typically in a proportion of from about 5 mg to about 75 g per tree at a coverage in a range of from about 20 mg/10a to about 2,000 g/10a.

  • Patent number: 4860315
Abstract: In an ADPCM encoding and decoding system comprising an encoder having an adaptive predictor and an adaptive quantizer and a decoder having an adaptive predictor and an inverse adaptive quantizer, the adaptive predictors each comprise: an adaptive-zero predictor of an arbitrary order and an adaptive-pole predictor of an arbitrary order, for input signals with time-varying frequency components; a fixed-pole predictor of an arbitrary order, for input signals the frequency composition of which remains substantially invariant over time; and an offset predictor for rejecting an offset component of the input signals, these elements being connected in series. The adaptive-zero and adaptive-pole predictors generate estimates for voice signals with time-varying frequency components. The fixed-pole predictor generates estimates for voiceband data signals the frequency components of which remain substantially invariant over time.
