    Abstract: The present invention provides an olefin polymerization catalyst component comprising a transition metal compound represented by general formula (1) LmCpnMX1X2  (1) an olefin polymerization catalyst containing the catalyst component as a transition metal component, and a method of producing a polyolefin using the catalyst. According to the present invention, polyolefins having a wide molecular weight distribution and excellent moldability and containing small amounts of low molecular weight components can be produced with high activity.
