Patent number: 6796754Abstract: In a chip collecting apparatus for a tip dresser of the present invention, the outer periphery of a dressing body is covered with a chip pickup case for taking hold of chips generated while electrode tips are dressed. A chip discharge port provided at the bottom of the chip pickup case is normally closed with a lid. The chips generated during the dressing operation accumulate on the bottom of the chip pickup case. When collecting the chips, an operator carries a chip collection vessel, opens the lid of the chip pickup case, and collects the dropped chips into the chip collection vessel. Even when a plurality of chip dressers is mounted, the chips can be collected together into the one chip collection vessel.Type: GrantFiled: June 25, 2002Date of Patent: September 28, 2004Assignee: Fuji Jukogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Hirokatsu Kobayashi, Kiyotaka Shibata

Patent number: 5185631Abstract: An apparatus for supplying powder includes a container having sloping inner walls for containing powder, a transportation member rotatably disposed in the bottom portion of the container for transporting the powder in the predetermined direction, and a swing plate swung by the rotation of the transportation member. The upper end of the swing plate is fixed to one of the inner walls, and the bottom end is positioned in the locus of the transporation member. Another apparatus for supplying powder includes a container containing the powder and having a supply opening at the bottom to allow the powder to drop, a transportation member for transporting the powder in the container to the supply opening, and a rotation member closing the supply opening and by rotation allowing the powder to drop through the supply opening.Type: GrantFiled: May 21, 1990Date of Patent: February 9, 1993Assignee: Mita Industrial Co., Ltd.Inventor: Kiyotaka Shibata

Patent number: 5079589Abstract: A developing unit of an image forming apparatus is for developing a latent image formed on a photoconductive drum. The developing unit comprises a developing device attachable to and detachable from the image forming apparatus body in a direction crossing the axis of the photoconductive drum, and a hopper fixed to the body of the image forming apparatus for supplying toner to the developing device connected to the body of the image forming apparatus. The hopper has a toner supply pipe which can assume a supply position, in which it is inserted in a connecting opening of the developing device, and a drawn position, in which it is drawn out from the developing device. The developing unit may have a lever to move the toner supply pipe to the drawn position.Type: GrantFiled: May 24, 1990Date of Patent: January 7, 1992Assignee: Mita Industrial Co. Ltd.Inventors: Kiyotaka Shibata, Seiichi Shirasaki

Patent number: 5052677Abstract: A paper feeding device for a paper cassette of an image processing apparatus. The paper cassette is mounted at a specific position on the image processing apparatus in a manner permitting the cassette to be pulled out. A preliminary feed roller feeds the paper on the paper cassette toward a feed roller which is normally energized in a paper pressing direction. When the paper cassette is mounted in the image processing apparatus, the document setting board disposed in the paper cassette is upwardly turned by a pressing mechanism. When the paper cassette is pulled out, the feed roller from the paper cassette is turned in reversed direction. A feed channel to guide the paper from the paper cassette is formed in a curved manner, and a normally turned delivery roller is provided inside the curved channel.Type: GrantFiled: October 28, 1988Date of Patent: October 1, 1991Assignee: Mita Industrial Co., Ltd.Inventor: Kiyotaka Shibata

Patent number: 5030998Abstract: A toner cartridge with a cartridge body having a toner supply opening, a seal member, having a folded part, for closing the toner supply opening with a portion between the folded part and an end, and a rolling mechanism for rolling up the seal member from the end which is free of the closing of the toner supply opening. Both side ends of the seal member near the rolling mechanism are different in length between the folded part and the rolling mechanism. Another toner cartridge has a plurality of seal members which have different length. The toner cartridges may have a pressing member for pressing the outer surface of the seal member rolled up by the rolling mechanism. These toner cartridges can be applied to a developing unit in a copying machine.Type: GrantFiled: May 17, 1990Date of Patent: July 9, 1991Assignee: Mita Industrial Co., Ltd.Inventors: Kiyotaka Shibata, Kiyoshi Morimoto

Patent number: 4870463Abstract: A latent electrostatic image developing device, including a cartridge loading section having an open top and a toner cartridge adapted to be removably loaded into the cartridge loading section. The cartridge loading section includes a pair of upwardly facing supporting shoulder surfaces extending longitudinally in laterally spaced-apart relationhsip, guiding side surfaces rising respectively from the outside edges of the shoulder surfaces, and a guiding rear surface extending between the rear ends of the guiding side surfaces. The guiding side surfaces respectively having holding protrusions provided at their front end portions. Engaging protrusions are provided behind of the holding protrusions at a predetermined distance therefrom. The toner cartridge includes a loading flange having side flange portions disposed in correspondence to the pair of shoulder surfaces and a closing member extending above the loading flange while surrounding both sides and the rear end thereof.Type: GrantFiled: February 18, 1988Date of Patent: September 26, 1989Assignee: Mita Industrial Co., Ltd.Inventors: Yoshitake Miyoshi, Kiyotaka Shibata
