  • Patent number: 11875078
Abstract: A display system that smoothly switches input from one input device to input from another input device when a plurality of display devices include respective input devices. The display system includes a first display device and a second display device. The first display device includes a first display unit, a first controller, and a first input device. The second display device includes a second display unit, a second controller, and a second input device. The first display unit displays a first image outputted from at least one first computer. The second display unit displays a second image outputted from at least one second computer. The first controller receives input of first information outputted from the first input device for operating the first and second computers. The second controller receives input of second information outputted from the second input device for operating the second computer.

  • Patent number: 8305397
Abstract: A noise removing filter removes noise from an input image and an edge component extracting unit extracts edge components. The edge components are extracted by calculating a difference between the input image and a smoothed image, which is obtained by smoothing the input image in a smoothed image generating portion. An edge component comparing unit compares the extracted edge components with a threshold value and a sum calculating unit calculates the sum of the edge components greater than the threshold value. A control circuit determines the enhancement degree of the edges based on the sum and averaged luminance of the input image calculated by an average luminance calculating unit. An enhancement degree adjustment unit adjusts the determined enhancement degree, and an edge component enhancement unit enhances the edge components based on this enhancement degree and adds it to the input image to perform edge enhancement processing.

  • Patent number: 5588555
Abstract: A blood analyzer system transports blood samples through at least one blood analyzer and an automatic blood smear generator under the control of a preprogrammable controller. Blood samples are stored in containers that identify the blood samples they contain. The containers move through the system mounted in protective racks that permit the reading of the identifications. The results of analysis by one or more blood analyzers in the system determines for each sample individually whether or not to make a blood smear. When a blood smear is to be made, the controller makes the smear thickness of each blood sample consistent with other samples whatever the consistency of the sample to be smeared. If a required sample is not made, a detector sounds an alarm, thereby alerting operators that the system has failed.

  • Patent number: 5461431
Abstract: A display apparatus for a television having a screen of an aspect ratio different from that of an original image, wherein an image is distorted in at least one of the vertical and horizontal directions such that an expansion ratio or a reduction ratio gradually changes, and the distorted image is displayed on the screen. With the display apparatus, an image with a different aspect ratio can be displayed on the whole screen with minimally reduced missing image portions and distortion. Also, a vista size image can be displayed with an impression that a zoom-up effect is emphasized, while missing image portions are minimally reduced in left and right side portions.

  • Patent number: 5270012
Abstract: A blood analyzer system incorporates a conveyor for handling and transporting sample blood through at least one blood analyzer and an automatic blood smear generator under the control of a programmable controller. Blood samples are stored in sample containers having identifiers for the sample blood that they contain. These sample containers are transported through the system in protective racks that permit the reading of the identifiers. The results of analysis by one or more blood analyzers in the system determines the need for performing or omitting subsequent operations on a particular sample blood. When a smeared blood sample is to be made, the controller assures that the smear thickness is consistent with other samples regardless of the thickness or viscosity of the sample blood. If the system fails to make a required smeared blood sample, a detector sounds an alarm, warning of a system failure.
