  • Patent number: 6398771
Abstract: A flexible transparent container for improved storage of oxygen sensitive parenterally administerable agents comprising an inner, primary container enclosed in a substantially oxygen impermeable outer envelope with an oxygen absorber, capable of consuming essentially all residual oxygen after the outer envelope is sealed, and for sufficient period also the oxygen penetrating said envelope. The inner container is made of a polypropylene containing flexible polymeric material compatible with lipophilic agents capable of forming both permanent and peelable seals, while the envelope is made of a substantially water impermeable flexible multilayered polymeric material comprising a first outer substantially water impermeable polymeric film with oxygen barrier forming capacity, assembled with a second, inner polymeric film with a supplementary oxygen barrier forming capacity. The container essentially maintains its characteristics after being subjected to sterilization by steam or radiation.

  • Patent number: 5881534
Abstract: A novel process for sterilizing an article made from polymeric material by radiation sterilization. The article is enclosed in a gas impermeable package together with an oxygen absorber for a time sufficient to consume substantially all the oxygen in the package and the oxygen dissolved in the polymeric material. The article is prefereably intended for medical use and can contain a radiation sterilizable parenterally administerable preparation.

  • Patent number: 4072086
Abstract: A driving assembly for moving one unit with respect to another, for instance, a working unit with respect to a frame unit. Preferred practical applications for the driving assembly are lifting platforms or presses. The driving assembly includes a flat, enclosed, flexible container or bladder disposed between the two units. End wall portions of the container comprise the major surface area thereof. When pressure is introduced into the container, the walls thereof bear entirely against opposed bearing portions of the respective units and against a limiting wall. The invention allows for use of a very thin walled container for lifting large loads.

  • Patent number: 4015735
Abstract: A device is disclosed for changing the position of a load-carrying component of a transport unit relative to a support surface on which the transport unit is movable, and in which the load-carrying component such as a chassis frame, is carried by at least one support leg which is provided with at least one contact member for the support surface which may be a wheel, caterpillar chains or a pontoon, or with at least one coupling device. The support leg is mounted on the load-carrying component through an articulation designed and arranged to allow swinging movement of the support leg relative to the load-carrying component. The support leg is connected to the load-carrying component through a power actuator unit which is designed and arranged to swing the support leg so as to cause the position of the load-carrying component to change relative to the support surface to an extent corresponding to the degree of angular motion of the support leg.
