Abstract: An infusion pump comprises a mobile self-contained functional basic module (10) with a pump portion and an energy storage means. For more sophisticated programming and performance tasks, the basic module (10) is inserted into an operating module (20) with an input device (27) for more complex inputs. Thus, the infusion pump may be used as a basic module (10) or as a combination of the basic module and the operating module (20).
