  • Patent number: 10927918
Abstract: The invention relates to a damping valve, in particular for shock absorbers of vehicles, with an adjustable damping force, in which differently sized outlet openings arranged between an inflow and an outflow can more or less be closed in order to obtain a desired damping effect. To this end, the differently sized outlet openings are more or less sealed off radially by means of a valve slide. In another embodiment, sudden pressure increases in the damping valve are automatically reduced by means of a differential area function. Due to said invention, said damping valve can be produced easily, has low leakage loss, a low tolerance chain and requires little effort for setting the desired damping.

  • Patent number: 7338404
Abstract: A drive assembly (1) includes a differential (3) with a differential carrier (7) and two output shafts (19) connected to the differential carrier (7) via a differential gear set (10). The assembly includes at least one transmission stage (25) with a first sun gear (26) connected to the differential carrier (7), and a second sun gear (28) connected to one of the two output shafts (19), and at least one parallel planetary gear (27) which engages the sun gears (26, 28) and which is rotatably held in a carrier element (32) which can be coupled to a stationary housing (18). The two sun gears have profile-displaced teeth with different numbers of teeth and are arranged at the same axial distance (C) from the at least one planetary gear (27). The planetary gear (27) has two toothed portions (29, 30) with corresponding teeth.

  • Patent number: 4573773
Abstract: A periscope-like sighting device is proposed which comprises an optical system comprising a plurality of elements arranged within a housing for localizing and tracking a target. In order to obtain as great as possible a field of observation, the optical system comprising a first deflection prism, an objective lens or lens system, a first beam splitter, a second beam splitter and a second deflection prism is arranged in the housing sloping backward in the direction of incident radiation and in relation to a vertical rear housing wall. A main mirror is associated with the first beam splitter and is journaled in a mirror head arranged sloping backward in the housing to be pivotable about a first axis and rotatable about a second axis.

  • Patent number: 4572625
Abstract: An optical system for a periscope-like sighting device is proposed for the localization, tracking and measurement of a target and comprises a plurality of optical elements as well as a laser range-finder essentially comprising transmitter and receiver portions. In this optical system, the visible and invisible radiation mutually parallelly incident upon a main mirror rotatable about a first axis and pivotable about a second axis is reflected to a first deflection prism. The first deflection prism deflects the radiation at substantially right angles through an objective lens to a first beam-splitter. The first beam-splitter deflects the invisible laser radiation to the receiver portion and transmits the visible radiation to a second beam-splitter and thence to a second deflection prism and an ocular. For achieving a view of the field of observation or a tracking of the target, or both, a television camera can be arranged on the side of the housing of the sighting device.

  • Patent number: 4565428
Abstract: An eye shield or eyepiece for a viewing device, especially for a day and night vision sighting device for aiming a weapon essentially comprises a headrest and first and second mounting frames. These components form an assembly for mounting on the housing of a viewing device. For the practical manipulation and adaptation of the headrest to the form of the head of the observer, two hinge-like articulations are provided in mutually spaced relationship on the external face of a forehead rest of the headrest. A relatively low pressure force against the inner face of the forehead rest deforms and correspondingly adapts the elastomeric or flexible plastic headrest.

  • Patent number: 4401193
Abstract: An apparatus for the locking of a component or part free of play, especially a drive shaft in a null position, but also other elements, such as a machine part. The drive shaft can be rotated about its lengthwise axis and positioned in a predetermined rotational position. In the null position the drive shaft provided with an impact or contact element is locked by means of a first locking element constructed as a hard layer and a second locking element constructed as a resilient contact or impact member, each of which locking elements are rotatable into the rotational plane of the drive shaft. The drive shaft is locked by the locking elements in such a manner that the first locking element and the contact or impact element attached to the drive shaft as well as the second displaceably mounted locking element are successively acted upon or contacted by the action of the restoring force of a spring which is effective at the second locking element.

  • Patent number: 4373827
Abstract: An arrangement for the rigid connection of a drive or driven shaft with a coding disk of an angle coding device. Arranged at the drive shaft is a one-piece compensation ring comprising a first flange for receiving and attachment of a coding disk, a second flange for securing such compensation ring to the drive shaft, and a sleeve element interconnecting the two flanges. The first flange and the sleeve element are divided into segment portions or segments by slits distributed on the periphery, whereby there are absorbed most of the radially acting forces which are caused mainly by the different coefficients of expansion of the relevant materials. The arrangement is particularly suitable for a coding disk which is rigidly connected for rotation to the drive or driven shaft and which is operatively associated with an angle coding device for the reading of the elevation or azimuth alignment movement of an observation periscope.
