  • Publication number: 20230191445
Abstract: A method for producing a decorative part with a cover layer, the method comprising the following steps: providing a molded part having an installation side and a visible side, wherein the molded part comprises a substrate layer on the installation side and a decorative layer on the visible side, and applying a coating material to the visible side of the molded part to form the cover layer. In order to reduce the consumption of coating material, the coating material is applied by a print head.

  • Publication number: 20230067618
Abstract: A method for producing a decorative part which has a visible side with a decorative layer and an installation side with a substrate layer, wherein a polysiloxane-containing composition is applied to the visible side of the decorative layer to form a cover layer and is then cured. A decorative part which can be produced by this method.

  • Patent number: 9272467
Abstract: A method is provided for producing a decorative part that has a closed cross-section having an external visible side and that has at least two support parts to be connected along a connecting joint. The support parts are held spaced at a distance from one another such that a gap is formed between the edges of the support parts which adjoin one another at the connecting joint. The support parts are inserted in at least two halves of a molding tool. A reaction plastic is injected into the molding tool, such that the reaction plastic penetrates the gap. The support parts are moved toward each other such that the gap closes while the reaction plastic is still liquid. The support parts are fixed against each other in this position at least until the plastic has sufficiently cured so as to form a bond seam in the connecting joint.

  • Patent number: 6838148
Abstract: The invention relates to an SMC (sheet moulding compound) for producing fibre-reinforced duroplastic components. Said SMC consists of a resin matrix (2) which is fibre-reinforced with unidirectional fibres (UD-fibres) (7) that are arranged in axial alignment and preferably with additional cut fibres (random fibres) (4) that are arranged in a non-aligned manner in the resin matrix. According to the invention, in order to achieve extremely high rigidity in a multi-axial direction with a low surface weight, several layers of SMC are arranged in the component, each layer containing UD-fibres (7) with a different alignment from one another.
