  • Patent number: 7433214
Abstract: A DC converter is connected to a DC source on its input side. On the output side, the DC delivers a converted DC voltage to at least one electric consumer via a cable connection. To improve such a DC converter in that it has a comparatively simple structural design and is able to reliably convert high DC voltages even in the case of high power, and in such a way that the reliability of the converter is increased and cooling systems entailing high costs can be dispensed with, the DC converter comprises a plurality of DC converter components, each of said DC components being, on the input side, serially connected to the DC source and, on the output side connected in parallel to the cable connection so as to provide the converted DC voltage for the electric consumer.

  • Patent number: 7401506
Abstract: With a measurement method and a measurement device for the measurement of a path covered by a first object (1) in relation to a second object (2), a measurement body (3) is deformed by a relative movement of the objects and at least a first deformation sensor (4) assigned to the measurement body (3) converts the measurement body (3) deformation into a measurement signal. The measurement signal is converted by an evaluation device (20) into information on the path covered. In order to increase the precision and measurement speed in a way that is simple structurally and saves space, the measurement signal is emitted when an area of the measurement body (3) is stretched along the longitudinal axis (6) of the measurement body (3) and a further area is compressed along the longitudinal axis (6) of the measurement body (3).

  • Patent number: 7353837
Abstract: A pressure reducer has a housing comprising an inlet and an outlet in which a flow-around body is arranged in a flow channel connecting inlet and outlet. A flow restrictor is adjustably mounted relative to the flow-around body for varying a flow rate and is movably connected with an adjusting means comprising a recirculating ball nut and a rotating spindle wherein the rotating spindle is movably connected with said flow restrictor. To improve such a pressure reducer that a corresponding flow restrictor with a facilitated construction is reliable and can exactly be adjusted in position, the recirculating ball nut is detachably fastened to a turning sleeve rotatably mounted in the flow-around body and the recirculating ball nut is connected with a driving toothed wheel in a rotation-resistant manner, which is rotatable by an electric drive for the movable connected with recirculating ball nut.

  • Patent number: 7316430
Abstract: A connecting mechanism for two parts, which are at least partially insertable into one another, presents a cam-operated component, which runs on bearings and which is adjustable between a passive and an active position, on the one part, for shifting a number of contact elements between a withdrawal and a contact position, whereby the contact elements, when in the contact position, mesh in a retaining indentation on the other part, and a driving device for the adjustment of the cam-operated component between the active and passive positions. In order to ensure a secure and stable connection of these parts, using simple design means without additional pre-stressing or restraining devices, even when the parts are only partially inserted into one another, the contact elements are arranged in two or more levels essentially parallel to the insertion direction of the two parts and the cam-operated component for shifting the contact elements between the withdrawal and contact positions is allocated to each level.

  • Patent number: 7302842
Abstract: A displacement measuring device measures a path of a moving object that can be displaced in a direction has at least one first component that is allocated to the moveable object and a second, stationary component. The components are interlinked for the purpose of converting a movement and/or displacement of the moving object into an electrical signal. The displacement measuring device also has an evaluating device for converting the electrical signal into movement and/or position information. The displacement measuring device has a high degree of accuracy, is not susceptible to wear, is resistant to vibration, shocks, or corrosion and is economical to use in almost all media. To this end, the first component is a spring element connecting the moving object and the second component is a force-measurement device which releases an electrical signal corresponding to the force that is exerted on the spring element.

  • Publication number: 20070252589
Abstract: The invention relates to a measuring device for detecting a body moving in relation to an, in particular, tubular container. Said device comprises at least one magnet unit which generates a magnetic field, measures this magnetic field and which is assigned to the container and/or to the magnetic body. • Patent number: 7281443
Abstract: Manual actuating device for the actuation of an appliance, subjected to a force in a direction opposite to the actuation direction, especially in the production of mineral oil or natural gas, such as a blowout preventer (BOP), valve, actuator, throttle or similar, with a rotating spindle, which can be connected to a displacing element of the appliance, moveable in the actuation direction, and with a regulating device, drive-connected through at least one mechanism and which can be manually actuated. In order to improve such a manual actuating device such that, even with a low number of revolutions of the regulating device, high forces on the rotating spindle and therefore on the displacing element can be transferred and there is no need for supporting equipment, such as hydraulics or similar, the mechanism exhibits a screw drive with screw drive nut and the rotating spindle as recirculating spindle, whereby the screw drive nut is drive-connected to the regulating device.

  • Publication number: 20070229059
Abstract: The position determination device for an essentially linear moving body comprises at least one deformation element extending along the range of body movement, a deformation initiation device movable relative to said deformation element, a deformation sensor assigned to a measurement end of the deformation element and an evaluation unit for determining the position from a propagation time required from the deformation of the deformation initiation element to the deformation sensor. To determine the position of corresponding body, first a brief deformation is induced in the deformation element at an initiation point in which the deformation initiation element is located. Then, a propagation time of at least one oscillation caused by the deformation along the deformation element is measured at a measuring point of the deformation element using the deformation sensor.
