  • Patent number: 9764278
Abstract: A compressed air supply unit for operating a pneumatic unit by means of a compressed air flow, in particular of an air suspension unit of a vehicle, comprises an air dryer arrangement in a main pneumatic line that pneumatically links a compressed air feed line from an air compressor and a compressed air connection to the pneumatic unit. A valve arrangement is pneumatically connected to the main pneumatic line for controlling the compressed air flow. The air dryer arrangement has a drying container having a container outer wall. A partition along a length of the drying container divides an internal space delimited by the container outer wall into first and second chambers delimited by the partition and the container outer wall. The partition adjoins the container outer wall along the length of the drying container, and the first and second chambers are adjacent to one another along that length.

  • Patent number: 9273700
Abstract: A pressure medium supply arrangement for operating a pneumatic apparatus, comprises a pressure medium supply, a pressure medium connection, a vent connection and at least one pressure medium charging connection to the pneumatic apparatus, together with a suction line, a compressor line, a vent line and at least one pressure medium charging line. A charging apparatus is configured to simultaneously direct the pressurized pressure medium applied to the pressure medium charging connection, and the further pressure medium made available in the charging apparatus by the first compressor stage of a two-stage or multistage compressor, to the second compressor stage of the compressor.

  • Patent number: 4480663
Abstract: The invention relates to a pneumatic relay valve for regulating output pressure in proportion to a control pressure. The relay valve includes a first piston member which is acted on by the control pressure and a second piston member which is acted on by the input pressure.A compression spring is located between the two relay piston members. The strength of the compression spring determines the height of a predetermined minimum controlled pressure even if the input pressure is subsequently lost or drops to a low value. In addition, the output pressure of a receiver can be maintained at a specific adjustable level which may be below the maximum pressure value of the input pressure due to the compression spring located between the two relay piston members.

  • Patent number: 4453736
Abstract: This invention relates to a control system for a pneumatically cushioned vehicle having at least a first and a second pneumatically cushioned axle. The pressure in the air spring bellows of the second axle is controlled in accordance with the air spring bellows of the first axle. The air spring bellows of the second axle are connected to a source of supply pressure by a pneumatic relay valve. The relay valve includes a control inlet which is connected with the air spring bellows of the first axle. The relay valve is designed in such a way, that if no pressure or a relatively low control pressure is present at the control inlet, the pressure at an outlet port of the relay valve leading to the air spring bellows of the second axle will be maintained at a minimum value. The relay valve includes a first control chamber and a second control chamber which are separated by a relay piston.
