    Abstract: A prosthetic sock for reducing movement of a residual limb within a prosthetic socket of a prosthesis includes a stretchable prosthetic sock having an inner surface and an outer surface, and a movement-opposing material disposed partially on the inner surface and outer surface for reducing the residual limb movement so as to leave areas about a circumference of the prosthetic sock without the movement-opposing material. The prosthetic sock may be a cotton cloth material, and the movement-opposing material may be latex laminated on the inner and outer surface of the sock.
