  • Patent number: 6067869
Abstract: A motor-vehicle door has a latch assembly having a door latch having a release lever displaceable to unlatch the door and a horizontally displaceable outside door handle. A transmission member rotatable about an axis is connected to the handle such that horizontal displacement of the handle rotates the transmission member about the axis. An actuating head is rotationally fixed to the transmission member and a shaft generally coaxial with the transmission member carries a formation axially fittable with the actuating head for rotationally coupling the transmission member to the shaft. A crank extending from the shaft is movable angularly about the axis on rotation of the shaft and a link is connected between the crank and the release lever so that when the handle is displaced horizontally the shaft is rotated about the axis, the crank and link are displaced and in turn displace the release lever, and the latch is operated.

  • Patent number: 5251568
Abstract: An actuating drive for installation in a body of a motor vehicle, from whose housing an actuator guided therein can be retracted and extended through an exit opening. A mount is provided for attaching the housing to the body with the exit opening of the attached housing being supported at the edge on an edge of a body opening that can likewise be penetrated by the actuator. According to the invention, the housing is guided so as to be displaceable with respect to the mount to and fro along a displacement axis in the direction of movement of the actuator. A clamping device is provided for displacing the housing with respect to the mount along the displacement axis, by means of which the housing, which is supported on one side at least indirectly on the mount, can be clamped on the other side against the edge of the body opening.

  • Patent number: 5094262
Abstract: A regulator with a hysteresis-affected characteristic curve has a manually operable actuating element for presetting a desired control variable, an axially displaceable control slide for adjusting the preset control variable and a control incline which is coupled to the actuating element. The control incline converts, by means of a rising control face, the adjustment movement of the actuating element into a axial displacement of the control slide. For the purpose of compensating the hysteresis when adjusting a control a variable such that the same control variable is brought about by rotating the actuating element to the left or to the right into the same setting, the control incline bears a toothing along its control face. Each tooth has, in two planes which extend along the displacement direction of the control face and are perpendicular to one another, a sawtooth-like contour with in each case a rising edge for running up the control slide and a falling edge which follows in the displacement direction.

  • Patent number: 5092358
Abstract: A pressure regulator whose initial pressure can be set by manually setting the initial stress of a control spring has a double-seated valve with an inner and outer valve seat and a valve closing element. The valve closing element divides a supply pressure chamber from a control pressure chamber and the latter from a pressure-relief chamber. The inner valve seat is arranged on a control piston which is loaded by the control spring. In order to set a higher initial pressure, the initial stress of the control spring is increased, in order to reduce pressure, the initial stress of the spring is diminished. During this process, the outer or inner valve seat lifts off temporarily from the valve closing element until equilibrium is reestablished by a corresponding pressure chamber and the double-seated valve closes.

  • Patent number: 4468942
Abstract: A pneumatic central locking system for doors and/or lids in motor vehicles, with a pneumatic operating or locking element being provided for each lock mechanism of the doors and/or lids so as to enable the same to be locked and unlocked. An electrically drivable air pump is connectible with the locking elements by a line system and a selector valve is disposed at an outlet side of the air pump. The selector valve acts upon the line system and/or the locking elements in a desirable manner by means of an additional pneumatic operating or switching element connected fluidically in parallel at the locking elements. A response pressure of the switch element is higher than that of the locking elements. At least one lock mechanism contains a key operable first selector switch, with a second selector switch which may be operated by the switching element.
