  • Patent number: 6244610
Abstract: A two-wheeled vehicle has a frame having a wheel support member at the rear of the frame. A rear wheel is spring-supported at the wheel support member. A first lever is rotatably mounted by a first rotary bearing at the frame and by a second rotary bearing at the wheel support member. A second lever is rotatably mounted at an upper end portion of the wheel support member and the frame, respectively. A spring element is rotatably mounted at the frame and/or the wheel support member and/or the first lever and/or the second lever, respectively. The second rotary bearing is positioned above the axle of the rear wheel and is positioned at the wheel support member, when viewed from the axle of the rear wheel toward a front end of the vehicle, at a distance of between 0.045 to 0.8 times the length of the wheel support member from the axis of the rear wheel.

  • Patent number: 6166067
Abstract: A recorded image frame is distorted on the printing plate when image information or image data from a computer is recorded in the form of band strips, with a plurality of image elements dotted on each widthwise dotted line of the band, on a printing plate wound over a drum. The present invention permits an undistorted recording on the printing plate by an arrangement which includes a printing plate wound around a drum in the form of a right circular cylinder, an exposing assembly to record image information in the form of a band strip on the printing plate by means of light beam, a moving mechanism to move the exposing assembly in relation to the drum in the direction of the drum axis--by one band width per revolution of the drum--and a circuit to generate and incline distortion offsetting signal in a sawtoothed pattern having the cycle synchronized with that of the rotation of the drum with the initial writing position on the band as starting point.

  • Patent number: 5318373
Abstract: A ball joint for chassis parts in motor vehicles is described, in which a hinge pin 1 with a spherical part 2 is mounted in a housing 3 by a bearing box 4. The hinge pin is led through an opening 6 out of the housing 3. The housing 3 is sealed by a lid 7, on the opposite side. In this case, the housing is placed in a rigid external bushing 10 with an elastomer sleeve 9 surrounding the housing. Radial surfaces on the housing 3, as well as on the external bushing 10, limit the axial movement of the housing 3 with respect to the external bushing. The radial surfaces of the housing 3 are formed by the two flat sides of a collecting plate 15, which can be firmly connected to the housing 3 first in the assembly of the joint. The collecting plate 15 engages with an axial moving space between arranged radial surfaces of the external bushing 10.

  • Patent number: 5224783
Abstract: The radially and axially load-bearing rotary sliding friction bearing for chassis parts in motor vehicles includes a rigid inner bushing (1) and an outer bushing (2), which is rotatable relative to it and is arranged in an elastomeric body (3) that adheres to it. Both bushings have, at least on one axially outer end, axial bearing surfaces at one radially directed flange projection (6, 7) each, wherein the flange projection associated with the outer bushing (2) is provided on an annular axial bearing on a sliding disk (7) and on a support ring (8) pressed onto the adjacent tubular end of the outer bushing (2). The sliding disk and the clamping ring are connected to one another by an elastomeric material in an adhering manner.

  • Patent number: 5079479
Abstract: To eliminate a holding frame for a starting wire (20) outside of an elongd discharge vessel (1), the starting wire (20) is directly connected to one of the electrode leads (4, 5), typically niobium tubes, by a bimetal strip (21) which is, preferably, bent in stepped form or Z shape. Under cold conditions, the strip or wire (20) is in engagement with the outside of the discharge vessel (1) to assist in starting, due to its electrical connection via the bimetal strip (21) with one of the electrodes; upon heating of the lamp, the bimetal strip (21) will lift the wire (20) off engagement with the discharge vessel (1) and thus prevent deterioration thereof.

  • Patent number: 4416165
Abstract: A stepping gear includes an output member attached to a wheel which is provided with a number of rollers on both faces thereof. In driving contact with these rollers is a pair of cam members having contours which allow for driving in the forward direction as well as a standstill or dwell phase. In addition, reverse movement of the wheel is made possible by providing an undercut in one of the cams coupled with a superelevation on the other of the two cams. Form locking engagement between the cams and the rollers is maintained during the forward driving phase, and the standstill and return phases as well.
