  • Publication number: 20040039656
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a pricing system for ascertaining total price data in a mobile-radio-assisted ordering process. In this context, following transmission of order data, performed using a mobile radio network, from an ordering communication terminal to a provider communication terminal associated with a service provider, a pricing system is supplied with ordering data, associated with the order data, by the provider communication terminal. The pricing system uses network use data, which are transmitted by the mobile radio network and appear in connection with the ordering process, to select from a volume of price-influencing data stored in an influence memory the price-influencing data which are associated with the ordering process, and the ordering data and the read price-influencing data are used to ascertain the total price data concerning the ordering process.

  • Publication number: 20030218831
Abstract: The present invention provides for a write head used in magnetic recording. The write head has at least one coil and the turns in the coil may have a high aspect ratio allowing the head to be used in high density, high data rate applications. Voids in the spaces between turns are avoided by partially removing a photoresist layer before a protective layer overcoat is applied.

  • Publication number: 20020123322
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and a system for simple implementation of requirements of telecommunications subscribers for services which can be provided by a communications network. According to the invention, the method includes abstracting and classifying the requirements into a corresponding number of classes, subdividing the individual classes into one or more subclasses, and uniquely associating a subclass with one or more technical functional units which can be coupled to one another in a corresponding manner. The system includes a first catalog of classes, in which each requirement can be associated with one class, and a second catalog of technical functional units, in which each class is associated with one or more specific technical functional units.

  • Patent number: 5136591
Abstract: Bit error pattern analyses which supply information about the number and location of transmission errors have heretofore been carried out only at transmission speeds which permit instant processing of the bit sequences. At higher transmission speeds only quantitative statements (bit error rate) are made. According to the invention, at very high error occurrences (FA) and transmission speeds (up to 565 Mbits/s), the bit error pattern (BFS) is completely stored by a serial/parallel conversion with a serial/parallel demultiplexer (25). The reconversion of the bits (b.sub.0, . . . , b.sub.n) to the time-correct order of their appearance for the evaluator (A) is effected by appropriate wiring of a temporary memory (Z) with a main memory (H).

  • Patent number: 4957068
Abstract: A liquid-cooled, four-valve cylinder head for a multi-cylinder internal-combustion engine comprises a casting having a cooling-fluid space between the cylinder-head bottom and a cylinder-head cover in which supporting struts are arranged for reinforcing the cylinder-head bottom, valve channels of gas-reversing valves and chambers for receiving secondary combustion spaces. Above the cooling-fluid space is located a control space with guide housings for receiving the cup tappets for the actuation of the gas-reversing valves. In order to obtain a cylinder-head construction which is structurally rigid and nevertheless can easily be produced, the chambers are cast together with the valve channels within the cooling-fluid space. Further, the supporting struts are equipped with ribs projecting into adjacent combustion-space portions, and the lateral outer walls of the cylinder-head housing are connected to one another in the region of the control space by transverse booms.

  • Patent number: 4012157
Abstract: Bolt device for connecting a first component formed with a hole extending therethrough to a second component which is formed with a recess threaded to receive the bolt. The hole has three portions, namely a first shallow portion of large diameter which is an undercut of the end wall of the first component, a second shallow portion eccentric to the first shallow portion, the first component having a lateral groove connecting with the shallow portions, and an elongated recess portion having a smaller diameter than that of the first shallow portion and being coaxial to the first shallow portion. A cup-shaped member surrounds the head of the bolt to prevent rotation of the bolt, and has a disc-shaped base receivable in the undercut and a projection receivable in the lateral groove to prevent rotation of the cup and the bolt relative to the threaded component.
