  • Patent number: 9889514
Abstract: A spark erosion tool includes an electrode arranged on a tool longitudinal axis and an electrode holder aligned along and arranged on the axis and connected to the electrode. The electrode holder includes a moving device for moving the electrode relative to the electrode holder and includes a press for applying pressure transversely to the axis in the area of an imaginary hose extending in the axis. The electrode holder has a cross section corresponding essentially to the electrode. An electrode for a spark erosion tool with a cylinder surface or a spherical surface includes a groove connected to a bore. A deflecting bore can be produced in a drill string part using the spark erosion tool. The deflecting bore is curved and connects two straight flushing bores.

  • Patent number: 7824135
Abstract: The invention relates to a drill (4) and a device or a method for drilling boreholes in workpieces (3), in which a periodically acting radial force (19) is exerted on the drill head (5) of the drill (4). The drill head (5) of the drill (4) has a cutting edge (52) extending only over a part of the diameter D (51) and is designed to have a lateral, V-shaped chip removing groove or bead (59) and with a channel (12) with an outlet opening (56) in the drill head (5) for supplying a drill fluid (9). On a drill side (61) of the drill head (5) opposite the bead (59) between a first and a second cylinder casing partial surface (64, 65) of the drill head (5) a rear offset (63) is formed which reduces the cross section of the drill head (5) in relation to an enclosing cylinder casing surface (61) of the drill head (5).

  • Patent number: 7694565
Abstract: This invention relates to the field of signal transit time sensors, in particular sensors based on ultrasonic transit times. Existing electronic control circuits for such transit time sensors for measurements on medical liquids, in particular blood, are extremely complex or their time resolution is limited. However, the present invention makes use of a simple measurement technique which cannot be used directly at first for the time resolution to be achieved. In this method, an ordinary sampling method is used to detect the received signal (12). An oscillator-like received signal (12) generated by an emitted step-like signal is first sampled during a half-period (14, 15) and is checked with the help of a selection criterion.

  • Patent number: 4835477
Abstract: There is described a method and apparatus for the determination of hematocrit levels in which both the conductivity of whole blood and the conductivity of blood plasma are determined together. While a conductivity cell (18) is being used for the determination of the conductivity of whole blood, the conductivity of plasma is calculated in a computer (30) with the aid of ion selective electrodes (14, 16) from the sodium or potassium concentrations.

  • Patent number: 4797191
Abstract: Measuring device for determination of the activity or of the concentration of ions in solutions, which has an electrode block having several electrodes and with a flow channel, the flow channel being in connection at its one end with a sample vessel and is connected at its other end to a line, in which a pump is interposed, with calibrating solution containers.Between the pump and the outlet of the electrode block branches off a discharge line, in which a further pump is interposed. Preferably, both pumps are combined into a peristaltic pump, the lines being laid in the segments of the pump.According to a second embodiment, the electrode block is again in connection with the calibrating solution containers. The delivery of the sample is performed however on the same side through a septum. Advantageously, the other side of the electrode block opens out into a pressure equalization vessel, into which a withdrawal line opens in which in turn the above mentioned peristaltic pump is interposed.

  • Patent number: 4662208
Abstract: An apparatus (1) for the drawing off of untreated and treated dialyzing liquid and/or blood from a dialysis device (1) has a dialyzer, from which a first line (22) goes off upstream and a second line (24) goes off downstream, which join into a third line (54). The third line (54) is connected to an analysis device (57). In each of the first and second lines is provided a pump (26, 28) and a shut-off element (56, 56'), between which an overflow (38, 40) per line is arranged. This on the one hand ensures that the liquid in the lines (22, 24) are kept constantly in motion, which prevents the formation of line blockages in the case of liquids tending to coagulate, and on the other hand considerably reduces the displacement time of the liquid to be investigated to the analysis device (57).
